68% of voters want the US to take ambitious action on climate change!
Respondents were asked to choose between two statements related to the U.S.’s role in global climate leadership, with a bipartisan majority (68%) selecting the following statement: “The United States should take ambitious action to address climate change, even if other countries do not. We should lead the world on this issue and set the example for other countries to follow suit.”

In contrast, just 25% of voters prefer the following statement: “If other countries do not take action to address climate change, the United States should not either. It is not fair for us to act while other countries contributing to the problem are sitting still.”

Despite political polarization reaching a historic high in recent years, Americans aren’t divided on ensuring clean air and water for every community. As the U.S. celebrates Earth Day, many Americans say the holiday holds personal importance and want the U.S. to prioritize clean air and water for all and take ambitious action on climate change.

it's the year 2026, we've passed 1.5°C of global warming, we're fighting an unpopular war for oil, natural disaster frequency and severity is skyrocketing ...and a leading Democratic politician and POTUS/VP hopeful is unabashedly pro fossil fuels. what an abject failure of climate politics.

An extreme wind warning now in effect for Saipan — this is the highest-end wind alert the National Weather Service can send, basically like a stationary tornado. Very dire situation right now in Saipan as Super Typhoon Sinlaku continues to make slow landfall.
BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED

256 AM ChST Wed Apr 15 2026

The National Weather Service in Tiyan Guam has issued a

* Extreme Wind Warning for...
  Saipan
  Tinian

* Until 500 AM ChST.

* At 256 AM ChST, surface observations indicated gusts of 116 mph,
associated with the eastern eyewall of Typhoon Sinlaku as winds
have shifted to the south across Tinian and Saipan. The eye is
moving northwest at about 6 mph. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
  AND LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION!

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

to cover your head and body. Remain in place through the passage of
these life-threatening conditions.

Super Typhoon Sinlaku is now less than 24 hours from landfall in Saipan — a US territory and home of more than 40,000 US citizens. Our brothers and sisters in Saipan deserve support just like any other Americans. When Donald Trump's FEMA ignores this Category 5 landfall, there needs to be outrage.

The US is the reason this crisis exists, not just because of our reckless military, but also because our role in growing fossil fuel dependency. In 2024 we consumed the most oil in one year of any country in history - roughly equal to the amount that passes through the Strait of Hormuz each day.

Neighbors, Friends, and Comrades,

Today was hard. Another community member was murdered by ICE. Many more of our immigrant neighbors were violently torn from their families. The violence is unthinkable and so, so heavy. Please don't carry the weight of this alone. Join your neighbors in community. Here are the community vigils happening in NESE tonight:
Indoor Options, 7:00 p.m.:
-NESE Community Vigil at Grace Lutheran (attached to New City School)
-NESE Community Vigil at United Methodist
Outdoor Options, 7:00 p.m.:
Holmes Park
Prospect Park (Seymore and Franklin)
Prospect Park (Bedford and University)
Marshall Terrace Park
37th and Buchanan
Cavell Park
Jackson Square
6th & Main
Logan Park
Bottineau Park
Gazebo @ Windom Park
Van Cleeve Park
Waite Park

This may not be an exhaustive list. These are just the vigils DMed to me. If you are organizing a vigil and want me to add it to the list, please DM me the details.

If you're joining us at one of the indoor vigils, we will spend some of our time together singing Loosen, Loosen. If you want to learn the song before you come, you can find a video here:

Today is the first general strike in Minneapolis in almost 100 years. What if the work we're doing today — the work of showing the world another way is possible — was *real* work all along? By my friend, Cinnamon Janzer: cinnamonjanzer.substack.com/p/occupy-min...
ICE is just the latest oppressor in a long line of oppressors. Good is just the latest casualty in a long line of casualties we’ve suffered at the hands of the rouge state that is the United States. The injustice of her murder isn’t about ICE or Trump, it’s about the right to a truly free life that is the birthright of all life. It’s about our liberation from the oppression we’re forced to not only endure but propagate by way of merely living our lives in this system day in and day out.

That’s what needs to stop.

Keep it up, fellow anarchists ✨
Bovino says well-organized protesters make ICE operation harder
From the Minnesota Star Tribune
By Abby Simons
January 20, 2026 at 305pm
Greg Bovino cited “collusion and corruption” by Twin Cities officials and “anarchists” as reasons Operation Metro Surge has been more difficult than previous operations in other states.

"They've got some excellent communications, and that coupled with a very poor response from the mayor and the governor, those two things coupled together make that a difficult operating environment at times."

The kids and I helped pack food this morning for families who can't leave their homes due to the ICE occupation. We did the math that there are somewhere between 2000 to 20,000 families that are sheltering at home right now. Which means they need thousands of food boxes a day. We're mobilized.
