I met this guy doing field work back in 2017 or 2018! He was here in OC, protesting, organizing, and knocking doors for our candidates. I’ve followed him since and have been a day 1 contributor to all of his campaign. Super nice, hard working dude and I’m unbelievably proud of him.

I’m proud of the fact that this asshole blocked me on Twitter about eight years ago. Wayyyy before he was on city council. I think I congratulated him on one of his restaurants being shut down for a cockroach infestation and said something about the roaches recognizing him as one of their own.

How about this little cutie I rescued last week? We found a bunch of dead babies in the front yard; the next day I spotted this guy on his own in the back. He was so tiny - nose to tip of tail was the size of my hand. I called an animal rescue for help and it sounds like he’s doing well.

I haven’t knit any of her patterns, BUT I have a few friends who have and they seem to be well written. I’ll say that the first time knitting a sweater like this is weird because it’s hard to picture how it will work ahead of time. Sometimes knitting math is hard to wrap your head around.

What’s the pattern? And do you have progress photos? I’m happy to take a peek. Over the years I’ve knit too many sweaters to count - at least 50, probably more. If there’s a way to screw one up and then fix it, I’ve probably done so.

What’s the most over the top item you’ve ever knit? Mine has to be the Star Wars sweater my son wore a few years back. He adored it and even posed for holiday photos while holding his lightsaber.

Oh whew. I did flat intarsia once and it about killed me. Final sweater was worth it though. Each year I knit my son a sweater for our family holiday photos and this was his request three years ago.
