So many of us can relate to the frustrations of subscription models to access the media we’ve purchased. Prison profiteers are now trying to force incarcerated people to surrender personal tablets used to keep in touch with loved ones and access media they’ve purchased. Unnecessary and cruel.

It's 12 days before June 30. There is no budget agreement, no list of bills on Monday's committee agendas, and no information on budget resolutions submitted by lawmakers, including who submitted them. The public will have almost no time to provide feedback on how $60 billion in funds are spent.

It used to be that a family could pay for groceries and their power bill with some leftover with their TANF money. Now, TANF doesn’t even come close to providing the same relief. In fact, TANF falls about $100+ short of covering the same amount of groceries and electricity as it did in 1998.
