Today we are putting the spotlight on TIMSS and results from 2023. The IEA TIMSS is a international assessment every 4 years measuring the math and science achievement of pupils in 4th Class and 2nd Year around the world. The ERC manages TIMSS on behalf of the Department of Education and Youth.

At 2ndyear, boys significantly outperformed girls in both #mathematics and #science in 2023. This marks a change from previous cycles of TIMSS in 2015 and 2019, when 2nd year boys and girls achieved similar scores. bit.ly/4fJlrQx (4/5)
