Sadly, no stream today because our ISP decided to fight us today, and we're back to Dial-up days! 😭 I swear, if I actually -do- manage to stream on my scheduled days, the universe will implode! Feels like there's always something.

Twitch seems very focused on “viewer quality” when it affects ordinary creators, but far less convincing when it comes to the bigger question around inflated numbers and platform integrity. Legitimate viewers should not be the ones disappearing from the count. A change in leadership is well overdue.

Me making clips of the tragedy that has been my Nuzlocke.... Also me, not realizing that it gets posted on Twitch Stories. WHOOPS 😅 But also me 3 seconds later asking @eightbitbromo.bsky.social for help removing said stories, because I'm clueless! 🤣

First stream back in about an hour from now, following last week's Discord ordeal. 😵 Let's catch up, talk cyber security, and restart our Pokémon HG Nuzlocke, with some better RNG hopefully! 😊 See you there! ✨ ⭐ www.twitch.tv/eraleas PS: New Discord server link will also be available.

Okay final update, promise! So we got the Discord server back. I've secured it and made an announcement! We're moving homes to a new server! Discord was admittedly faster than I expected in resolving the situation. However their 2fa? Not really! This is the company that wanted our IDs....

070

Eraleas ✨ @eraleas.bsky.social · 10/04/2026

Update on the Discord situation: So Discord managed to give me access back to my main account. However, I no longer am the owner of my own server. I have emailed them again, in the hope that they can transfer it back. Regardless, my plan is to start fresh with a new server soon.

Oh, Dan Clancy... You're so out of touch, luv! I wish you a very successful podcast career if that's even a thing. In fact, you should probably focus on -just- that! I cannot wait to not listen to it. 😵

Eraleas ✨ @eraleas.bsky.social · 08/04/2026

A quick update: suffice to say that streams are cancelled until the discord situation is resolved, as the person controlling my account could easily tune into my streams… and that’s a terrifying thought. Wiping the computer clean in a few and hoping to hear back from Discord support. Wish me luck.

DO NOT engage with or click any links at the moment from any "friend" on discord asking "Hey can I get a quick favor?" a few people have had their discords/other accounts hacked into by clicking a link sent to them by needing "help with their IT course" This is spreading fast 😣

23713

Eraleas ✨ @eraleas.bsky.social · 08/04/2026

It’s absurd that in the year 2026 Discord is unable to protect someone’s account despite them having 2fa. This is a MAJOR security concern that should be addressed ASAP.

070

Eraleas ✨ @eraleas.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

My Discord account has been compromised! Please make sure that you remove my account from your servers and block me! I will let you know when the storm passes! 😭

There have been a lot of theories about Twitch viewership and what Twitch is (or isn't) counting as a result of the view bot update. We now have an update that I think tries to answer the question "What is a Lurker and what isn't?" www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KlC...

Subtember Finale starts now and runs until October 1. Gifting 5 Subs = At least +1 Bonus Sub. (The bonus is triggered for every multiple of 5. My understanding is that the bonus will be between 1 and 50; the gambling mechanism makes larger bonuses rarer.)

Twitch is making it easier to achieve Partner. They've reduced the number of streams needed from 8 per month (for two months) to 6 per month (for two months).

Twitch removing servers and suddenly, everyone ends up buffering, disconnecting and reconnecting over and over again? Couldn't be me! (it was!) 🥹 I'm sorry y''all. I'll be back Friday! But I would also wanna hear back from Twitch as to what is happening. thanks xo

Streamers globally are reporting that Twitch has removed a significant number of ingest servers worldwide. Have you noticed your Twitch ingest server is not available? Or has your stream been buffering/dropping frames recently? (For me, it appears all Canadian and several US servers are gone.)
