"She called you a product. A weapon. But my child....you can be so much more." (My regular DM was showing us the recent Neon Odyessy playtest materials, I slapped together a character for fun....and immediately got attached.)

An anthromorphic pterosaur stands in front of the camera, clawed fingers tented and wings raised behind him. He has black feathers, a red patch on his throat, and a red and silver cybernetic eye. He's wearing a grey trenchcoat and pants, with a belt buckle that looks like an ouroboros. Behind him is a simple graphic of a neon green worm about to eat an apple.

"#19 was reliable. Not the fastest, not the strongest. But it had not once, through all those years, ever abandoned its post." (Remember that snow dragon from earlier? This is it when it's a bit more corporeal.)

A fluffy white dragon stands against a gradient of dark blue. Most of its body is covered in fur, except for silver scales on its belly and the dark grey membranes of its wings. It has grey claws poking out of the fur on its feet, curly grey reindeer antlers, and two small horns poking out of its nose. It also has two orange serrated tusks, and orange eyes.

"Run, run, don't shrink and cower/ And join us at the witching hour~" (I was digging through some old art when I realized you all hadn't seen my Crooked Moon character Scruffles! She's a cheerful bard...who has no memories except for a fragment of an apocalyptic prophecy.)

A reference of a living purple dragon plushie, which stands upright on two legs and has two small wings. She has yellow claws and teeth, and a hayseed in her mouth. She's wearing a green tailcoat with bells on the end, leather armor, and a red scarf. Her equipment consists of a lute on her back, and a needle-like sword at her side.

"We found him in an abandoned building. No idea who he broke off from, so he's in our care for now." "He's a sweetie. Very curious too." (Another twofer, because I just remembered a drawing I did when a friend of mine released an interesting open species! toyhou.se/40716875.umb...)

A black anthropomorphic silhouette-creature resembling a bird stands in front of a grey background with various bright green doodles across it. The creature has fluffy feathers, hooved feet, horns, and a long tail with feathers on the end. His eye, the ends of his feathers, and bright marking on his chest glow neon green.

"Hey, you're early! Welcome to the crew, you can call me Architect-" "...no, don't apologize. Everyone stares at first." (Getting back to routine with another crack at someone I've been doodling since I played Dispatch with a friend. She's a House with a terrible job.)

A woman leans against a gigantic lion statue's plinth with a jagged stone wall behind her. She's wearing a long trenchcoat, red scarf, green sweater, jeans, grey gloves, and steel-toed boots.
Her light brown hair is tied back in a short ponytail, and her eyes appear to be deep stony hollows in her head with orange lights inside.
She's giving the camera a friendly smile, holding a steaming cup of coffee in one hand.

A revenge for a merciless attack spree, practice for more lineless stuff, and a love letter to surreal scenery all in one! Here's npc_arson's Lydie! artfight.net/character/10... #Artfight

Four iterations of the same character wander across a strange white structure below a starry sky. The character is a purple and black bunny-creature wearing a pink bathing suit, with a floating head above a severed neck dripping cyan fluid. One version sits admiring the sky, one version swims through a canal having sprouted a fish-tail to do so, one version can only be seen by her long tail at the edge of the screen, and one version walks past a doorway that shows a sunny sky at the bottom of the shot.

Found another friend of mine on Artfight, and the vibe of "beloved picture book character from a parallel timeline" that Shmorblor's Tall Frog had gave me inspiration right away! artfight.net/character/49... #artfight

A watercolour painting of Tall Frog (a green frog with a long neck and a black bowtie) happily walking past a riverbank with his son Beaumont (a dark green tadpole with two legs and a blue-and-yellow propeller cap).

Now that I've hit my goal, I figured I'd try a few more experiments before things wrap up, and one of those was more interaction. So here's Sapientia being given a rather enthusiastic recruitment pitch by Topaz's Dr Ronne! artfight.net/character/95... #artfight

Sapientia(a nervous-looking warforged with one eye and an elaborate dress) is being pulled along by Dr Ronne (a woman in a labcoat with grey hair, a red antenna on the top of her head, two long braids made of wire, and metal plate on her cheek) as the latter cheerfully points forward.
Papers are flying out of Sapientia's hand where she's clutching them to her chest, and her spider familiar Mercy is barely hanging on to one of her head fins. Dr Ronne either doesn't notice this, or doesn't care.

This composition occurred to me as soon as I laid eyes on emPaws's Regor, and I'm so happy I could execute the idea as well as I did! Misty watercolours, my beloved. artfight.net/character/87... #Artfight

Looks like I fell behind on the posting side of things a bit while getting my last few attacks done, so I'll catch up over the next few days. First on the list is mixtape_cemetery's Ekkehard, a lovely re-introduction to Cassette Beasts fanart! artfight.net/~mixtape_cem... #artfight

A stained glass window of a griffin-like creature sitting in front of a blue sky, with a sun behind their head. They have a bony mask for a head, curled dark blue and orange horns, a blue and orange mane, bird forelegs, lion-like hindpaws, and a bladed tail. Their bat-like wings are made of sharp shards of bone. A silver sword with a blue gem in its hilt is sunk deep into the creature's skull.

Now that this post won't spoil the surprise, here's the other attack I got done yesterday! Occidere has been a mainstay villain in RidiculousTies's writing over the years, and I'm happy I could do him justice here! artfight.net/character/97... #artfight

A looming monster made of black sludge stands confidently in front of a dimly lit wall of chalk diagrams and scribbles. His anatomy is a wild mishmash of parts; a lamprey mouth for a face, bat and bird wings on his back, a furred claw on his left arm, and his body trails off into a nexus of four legs. These legs appear to be from an insect, cat, goat, and crow.

Wanted something a bit more freeform today, and PaintedSmores's Laqua had a silhouette that was great for just that! artfight.net/character/96... #artfight

A blue serpentine dragon with four purple eyes is drawn against a starry black background with its curved wings raised. It has yellow and green scales along its belly, shoulders, and the edges of its wings. Two curved horns come up from the top of its head, as well as a long antenna with a star on the end. The rest of its body is flowing and nebulous, patterned with stars.

A somewhat over-the-top revenge, my first mass attack, and a present for the other members of a server I've made a year's worth of memories on! The characters featured are: artfight.net/~npc_arson : Arson, Ash artfight.net/~TopazTheMagi : Clover, Luto, Woos (kind of) #artfight

Three people pose for a photo in front of a dark forest grove littered with fiery crystals. On the left is a humanoid with an orange spiral for a face and a robotic arm that he’s giving the camera a “W” sign with, wearing a sweater and sweatpants. On the right is a human whose face is obscured by a shadow and the hood of her blue parka, wearing tan pants and mittens, as well as black-and-yellow boots. She’s giving the camera a shy smile and wave. In the center is a blocky stone construct giving the camera an enthusiastic wave. They’re wearing a pink shirt with flowers on it and jeans, as well as a shoulder bag. In the shadows of the forest, a red bug and a mud monster are barely visible as they look at the camera too.

Snakes and contrast and cartooniness, oh my! Namur_'s Naceris was a surprise find that worked out quite well for my style. artfight.net/character/10... #artfight

A cartoony creature with two black-and-white snake heads is drawn mirrored as a Jack of Diamonds card. They are wearing a white and purple jester's collar, as well as a black suit with teal cuffs and white gloves. Their hands are posed to point up to two suns on the left and down to one moon on the right. At opposite corners of the page, two black-and-white tails frame the image, each with a teal-and-purple ball balanced on the end.

This one was the excuse for another stylistic experiment that in my opinion went fairly well: TyrexDragon's Bon! artfight.net/character/73... #artfight

A grainy monochrome picture of a dinosaur-like creature in the woods, looking up at the camera as if on alert. His bodyplan resembles a raptor, but he has several mammalian features like fur, long rabbity ears, and a canine snout. He is also wearing a bowtie around his neck. In front of him is a carcass and several bloodstains, with dripping blood from the creature's mouth making it clear that he was eating it moments before.

This one was a fun concept to begin with, and I found myself having a lot of fun with the new style as well: Jiraipuppy's Keeper! artfight.net/character/74... #artfight

A fluffy dragon with a dark brown mane and light brown fur stands like a snarling heraldic beast against a parchment-like background. Several parts of its body are made of colourful gummy candy, such as the back claws, horns, tongue, tail, and right paw. Bony spines and tombstones stick out of its back, and more bones as well as gummy worms litter its mane.

A dark green dragon with purple spines and claws sits with her wings outstretched and tail curled around her on a black background. Several parts of her innards are showing through her body in bright neon blue, green, and purple; her wingbones, front phalanges, stomach, and part of her skull. Her tail is entirely skeletal and highlighted in blue. An X-Ray frame and neon green waveform is visible in the background.

A mud elemental with moth antenna stands in the middle of a library, a scroll in his gloved hands. He's looking up with an orange exclamation above his head, as if he's just noticed the viewer. In front of him is a massive framed map, and to his right is a shelf full of scrolls.

A humanoid robot with a tv head and firefly antenna as well as a glowing abdomen waves happily at the camera, smiling with a face projected on his screen. His body is mostly made of dark blue metal with several bright cyan highlights. He is wearing a white labcoat, a blue sweater, and jeans as well as boots of a similar composition to his body. He holds a clipboard in his other hand. Behind him is a blue lightbulb pattern made of binary ASCII code.

$A gigantic serpentine dragon stands in a field of scorched grey rubble, letting loose a purple beam into the sky where an eclipsed sun hangs. Purple fire suffuses the dragon's body, spilling out of its head like axolotl gills, as well as from places in its fractured body.$

Shockwave was not concerned with appearances. Only results. And the Insecticon project produced plenty. (I just remembered that I'd made a reference for this #transformers alt mode as well. I don't often draw machines or make references, so it was fun!)

A reference of Brainjack in his alt mode. Said alt mode is a blend of an ornithopter and a wasp, with the vehicle's landing gear replaced with legs, and a long tail sprouting from the back with a large needle on the end.

You can't brave this sea, it's far too deep for you. Don't say it will be alright. (Given that a good chunk of #cassettebeasts main bosses are weird abstract monsters, it was only a matter of time before I tried making one of my own. Marble is really fun to paint.)

A massive figure resembling a marble statue in a monochrome room. The statue has fallen to one knee, body breaking apart and oozing ink, and its face appears to be melting downwards. Its interior is hollow, full of the same ink and a stark white ribcage.
The room is mostly empty, with a scratched marble floor that the statue is dripping ink onto. Broken marble columns jut out at odd angles around the scene, connected by thick webs of ink.

It's probably high time for an update on this project, so here's some more of Fornacis-C's native fauna! In order: The Esinophil, the Highlands Parasite, the Lymphocyte, and the Monocyte.

A large centaur-like creature made of blue crystal stomps forward. It has one eye and claws for arms, with molten gold covering its back, legs, and hooves. Wings protrude from its back.

A small monochrome insect creature flaps its wings quickly. Its body is in the shape of a pterosaur but has the features of a mosquito, such as insectoid wings and legs, antenna, and a large abdomen filled with red fluid.

A large scorpion-like creature made of blue crystal marches forward. Its claws, eyes, and stinger are tinged with a darker violet, and it has antenna that end in the same colour.

A worm made of blue crystal inches forward. It has six legs, a wiggly body, and a head with two large cannon-like protrusions on either side as well as long antenna. Patches of its body and head are detailed with translucent pink, making it look like it has a visor on.

They'd written off the nest as lost, buried by magma and crushing pressure. But life finds a way. (Another piece from the archive, of my Dragon Survival creature. Maybe I should make another file with this mod, it offers a surprising amount of gameplay variety.)

A dragon that resembles a carved marble statue is leaping up onto a cliff. It has a golden underbelly and eyes with veins of gold all over it's body, as well as gold flowing up over its feet to form claws. Its spines appear to be made of a brilliant blue crystal.

A tall blue and grey robot with purple highlights stands against a dark background. Its build is lanky and birdlike, with four wing-like limbs coming out of its back, and glowing gold rings around its hooved feet, as well as purple crystals dotted around its body. Its chest has a rainbow crystal plugged into it, faintly visible under tinted glass. One hand holds a silver and blue whip ending in a spiked ball, and the other holds a green and gold staff spewing noxious green gas. Small snakelike figures can be seen in the gas. The one with the most obvious progression in my recent art is my centaur monk Chaofeng! General concept was solid from the jump, but I ended up deliberating on her post-timewarp fit as well as her face quite a bit. #oc #drawing #drawingprompt #ocprompt #prompt #doodle #charachterdesign

A half-dragon centaur in the style of a Quilin. She has blue and green scales, golden antlers as well as golden cloven hooves and claws, and vibrant orange and yellow hair on her head, legs, and tail. She's dressed like a noblewoman in a multicoloured silk robe that drapes over her back, and she has gold and red earrings in her long ears.

Same character as before, but now she's wearing a black jacket with neon blue and purple highlights, as well as a black horse blanket with the same. She has a few red flags tied to her tail, a red sash around her top half's waist, and her hair is tied up with similar red ribbons. Her facial anatomy is also subtly different, giving her a more feline nose.

Same character as before, but her outfit's changed again. It now consists of a blouse with a red tie and longcoat that extends down the back, still having the cyan highlights. She also has golden bangles on the base of her tail before the fur. She is rearing up on her hind legs, roaring as lightning crackles from her hands.
