To defend Daria herself a little, I do feel like over the course of the series she learned (a little bit) not to be so dismissive of social / emotional intelligence and the interests of "normies." She didn't entirely embrace it, but she had softened a lot I think.

It's one of the things that bothers me in a lot of trans communities, the obsession with "passing." Obviously I *get* it. But I think it's unhealthy. Wanting to look like the person you want to look like is normal, or to be correctly gendered by default. But we shouldn't be ashamed of being trans.

Also, because people seem to keep forgetting: trans people are about the same percentage of the population as jews were in Germany prior to the Holocaust. If we are too small a minority for someone to fight the nazis for, jews would've been too small for them to fight for, too.
