Just like Michael Corleone in the (underrated) Godfather III, just when I think I'm done with beer, they drag me back in. I'M HOSTING A BEER HISTORY TALK! In December, I'll be talking the history of Brussels in 3 beers - and as a teaser I've pulled out my favourite story from the archives

Just your typical bike plan for a street redesign in Brussels, which looks to have been draft by people that, at best, have seen a bike in the distance. God forbid we would fundamentally alter a road layout, better just to fiddle on the margins and make everyone unhappy

That France didn't win the World Cup just shows what a team Spain are. Just killers all over the pitch. And the bench. Michael Olise should be illegal. Thank god he didn't declare for England.

UAE may halt UK investments after Manchester City guilty verdict
This story is opening up way beyond mere football governance.

Emirati officials said “the Premier League’s actions” would “have an influence on the bilateral state relationship”, according to Bloomberg. Elsewhere, the Telegraph said the UAE is threatening to withdraw a multi-billion pound investment into a Silicon Valley-style Oxbridge tech hub.

Great piece which has got me feeling suite emotional. I also yipped when I heard the news, though in the privacy of my own home. Like Eoghan, I haven’t vibed with the Bailly bar and I will greatly miss BBP Dansaert when it closes its doors.

This seems to be the nub if it. If the players feel hung out by the FAI for being forced to play the game, I can't imagine how they would feel about having to go ahead with it if half a dozen of their teammates are refusing to play.

Do not in a million years send me a solicitious AI email asking me to endorse your beer guide website. Definitely do not do this if said website is riddled with wrong and/or outdated AI-generated info and covered in ugly AI-generated graphics. Have people lost all self-respect or what?
