I was going to open October's comms this week, but I already had a really busy month and I was not anticipating the events of this weekend. I'm probably going to take it easy and open next week instead. That roster is 95% done anyway and having extra time will make it better.

The ppl at the hospital are so much more empathetic than my own family, I should get hospitalized more often. I'm fine, I just had a bad reaction to a prescription medication and they wanted to run tests on me to make sure I didn't have turbo cancer or something. I should be back to normal soon.

It’s spooky season so I’m making more VSav designs. Anyone want one?

I'm extra cranky because I've been on a medication I don't think I can even continue because the side effects are so bad, but I don't want all my posts to be negative. So I'll say that I've grown a new appreciation for SFIV's art direction. Daigo Ikeno was cooking the entire time and I was wrong.

LRP: I feel like a lot of people my age just have a constant amnesia about how the Internet was actually like. People grow and change their world views and then just assume everyone came along with them or believe it's always been that way. Or they don't even realize they're in a bubble.

Eny @enydimon.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I'm realizing that a good chunk of baffling online interactions stem from people thinking everyone is logging onto the Internet for the same reasons. Not strictly inappropriate interactions either, sometimes it's just otherwise intelligent ppl who don't realize they're existing in a narrow bubble.

it is my birthday and all I want is for you to check out my webcomic and consider grabbing the print version 🙏 The 3rd book is currently funding on KS, and although it met it's goal, it still has about $3,500 before it reaches its cover enhancement stretch goal so it can match the first two books🌟

The funniest part about getting weighed at the doctor's is when I can see them put my BMI in the overweight category when I'm 15% body fat lmao.

My favourite thing about almost any classic vanilla variation is that I always end up befriending strangers just because we were questing and we get around to chatting. I don't have to look for it, it just happens naturally. Just spent an hour questing with these two and now we're bnet friends.

I've been streaming my replay of OoT to a friend who played it for the first time this year. Since I haven't played it in over a decade, we have this symbiotic thing where he helps me where my brain is foggy but I can still whip out some tech that surprises him because I played it so much as a kid.

I'm only lvl 6 so I'm not that deep into it, but my first impression of WoWF is that the camps are cool and so are some of the new quests. I think the atmospheric graphic update is accurate to the style and looks good. SD models being HD ones with old textures is weird. Some UI changes are ehhh.

Horizontal progression has been apart of the MMO genre for decades. It only seems novel because the two most popular MMOs in the last decade have been vertical progression, and not many people play outside of those two. Horizontal has always made the most sense for something like WoWF/Classic+.

I nearly dropped photoshop over the last month, not because of anything Adobe did, but because Nvidia put out a driver that was making a stable 10+ year old version unusable. It got fixed a few days ago and works even better than before, but I was really going through it lmao.

I don't think I'll ever get used to playing classic OoT on a modern controller. The transition to using an analog stick for C buttons always makes me accidentally drop a bomb or something. My hands crave the face buttons.

I don't like when people pit minimalism and maximalism against each other as if one is superior to the other. The only thing that actually matters is execution. It's not a contradiction to like it in one piece of media but not another. There is no inherent wrongness to the ideas themselves.

It's so funny for me to complain about a 3D model not having enough fidelity yesterday, only to immediately complain that one has too much detail the next day. Not a fan of the art direction of the OoT remake. There are some things I like, but everything is just too shiny and misty for my tastes.

Eny @enydimon.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Arjun's gameplay looks rad af but there's something about his model that feels under cooked. Feels more like a world tour character.

Eny @enydimon.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

I've had friends express this sentiment too, but sometimes when you're a working artist you might get stuck in the trap of optimizing your art for clients that you end up neglecting your own stylistic development. Issue being that sometimes you really do need things to be consistent and on model.

Weird question but where do you go to hire translators? For the next Retrospective I need to get two pages of a magazine translated but I have no idea where to find a translator for something that short.

“this person is bad so their work was always bad” is also a really dangerous view to take because it leads to - unconscious or not - a bias towards “but I do like this other person’s work, ergo they must be a good person” which, as we have seen over and over, is simply not true

I was invited to be one of the artists for a charity raffle for @stvbonfirebash.bsky.social Here are the coloured sketch portraits I did for the winners! @tokidokifish.bsky.social @urshifu.bsky.social @armesan.bsky.social

Portrait of a Roe in a leather jacket, pale skin, greying red hair, and robotic eyes. Their face is lightly freckled with scars across the right side.

Portrait of a troll with blue skin/fur and pinkish purple hair with blue streaks. They have long tusks, pierced ears, and a septum piercing.

A troll death knight with grey skin and short black hair. Their long ears are black at the tips and they have grey triangular tattoos on their chin and forehead. Their tusks are shorter and they wear plate armour with a small green cloak around their neck.

idk if I'll get to the fighting game roster comms this month or next but I'm liking how the UI is coming along. I just need to figure out the style for the characters and I don't want to rush it and make it sloppy. I have a few other things to do this month too so I don't want to burn out.

I'm thinking about doing another run of fighting game roster commissions since the mood is there. I considered archetype locking them so they aren't mostly boxers like last time, but idk if that would be less enticing if ppl couldn't pick whatever they wanted. It's not actually a big deal, but
