The one-two punch of Kai Sorem being executed by the US-backed fascist military in the Philippines last month, and then Juniper Blessing being murdered in her own dorm laundry room by some random ancap writer cybersecurity freak days ago is really bearing down on me and I’m incandescently furious.

It was mostly wild to me since there was a pertinent and sizable actual protest downtown in solidarity with MSP/against ICE so I walked by thinking it was connected to that and learned it was about foie gras lmao (which isn’t good, but isn’t on my priorities) also estranged feedee duck girl erasure

Woke up remembering the two animal rights protestors I saw outside a restaurant on 12th 9pm on a Wednesday yelling with a megaphone into a small restaurant with like a dozen employees and maybe 40 mostly empty seats: Ducks have families, just like us! Ducks don’t want to be force fed, just like us!

If there happen to be any gay people in my phone going to Movement in Detroit next week (aside from irl friends I know will be there), would love to meet :}

I think there was something specific about how large the Covid wave of transitions was, universal isolation from irl community then and onwards, and people who weren’t radical before transition being insulated in many ways from the real world consciences of politics and easily continuing that path.

Not sure about the price of that service vs. the value of this mug to you, but it’s nice to restore the original piece (also it’s food safe iirc so you can still use it)
