As individuals we can all do little things to punish such behaviour. We don't have to visit the US. We can switch to Linux, Proton, etc, one step at a time. And as voters we can make it clear that we expect our leaders to make Europe strong enough that we need fear no-one. www.ft.com/content/2848...

If Canadian universities had a bit of vision, they would be launching a Manhattan project to poach every US-based top researcher. And the federal government would be drastically expanding tri-council funding and creating an expedited review process for those holding NSF and similar grants.
