Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

As we know, this is all just opinions and preferences and there is no right or wrong. For me it's just an excuse to dig out my favourite albums (not naming names!) and enjoy them for what they are!

Waiting for the excellent #Cillirion (Fish era @marillion.com tribute band) to hit the stage at #ChichesterAssemblyRooms - will we get to hear #Grendel tonight?!

The wonderful #JoeJackson at the #BournemouthPavilion last night - a great gig and much better than I was expecting! Superb live band and JJ's voice and piano playing was excellent!

One of my favourite ever albums, not a bad track on it!

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

One of my favourite @rushisaband.bsky.social t shirts I've seen from the current tour!

010

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

And there's me thinking... don't remember Blue Oyster Cult doing an album with that title!!

010

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Obviously had to get this when I saw it on the merch stand!!

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Can't wait for the mighty @marillion.com at Portsmouth Guildhall tonight - anyone else doing Pompeii to Pompey as consecutive @marillion.com gigs?!

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

It was always the music first for me. Saw the Seasons End and Vigil tours and was impressed with how H handled the older material whilst putting his mark on the sound going forward. Still find myself going back to Seasons End but hardly ever revisit Vigil - all down to individual taste I guess!

Can anyone tell me why the Monster Raving Loony Party had three candidates in the Clacton by-election? Surely this waters down their vote? #Clacton

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

Absolutely loved it, the choir really added to the quality of the songs and the whole surroundings were amazing - up there with my best ever gigs!

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

Spent the day visiting the ruins in Herculanium - still kept bumping into Marillion fans there too! Looking forward to tonight!!

010

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Very brave (no pun intended!) of you to rank all the albums, if you're anything like me the positions would change every day depending on how I feel! Only thing I do know is that I would probably rank Somewhere Else and Anoraknophobia as the bottom two.

010

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

Same here, although my wife was the one who bought the tickets in full knowledge of the potential setlist! Enjoy the gig, may bump into you!

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Amazing @katherinepriddy.bsky.social gig in Cardiff this evening - well worth the trip from the south of England! Every song was absolutely perfect, and the new ones sounded great live! Looking forward to the next tour already!!

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 21/04/2026

Yay! Seeing you in Pompeii and Pompey this year (must remember to go to the right one at the right time!) - any new material on the set lists at all?!

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 19/04/2026

Quite a good turnout for #MrPunch (Dutch Fish-era Marillion tribute band) at #The1865 in Southampton this evening!

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 31/03/2026

In essence, every band has their 'goldilocks' zone for their fans, it just varies from person to person!

230

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 31/03/2026

@primarilyprog.bsky.social weird isn't it? The longer a band survives the more likely it is they will have different 'eras' - see also @marillion.com , @rushisaband.bsky.social #yes etc - and so it is much more common for fans to just like certain phases in their careers. Bound to happen I guess!!

110

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 30/03/2026

Ha! I was listening to this earlier this afternoon!

020

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

Today's listening: A Home In The Rain by A Days Work - good Dutch pop rock that I first heard supporting @marillion.com at one of the #PortZelandeWeekends

000

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 18/03/2026

Why not suggest 'Tales From Topographic Oceans' on loop to the management - be interesting to see how that goes down 🤣 !!

111

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 11/03/2026

Got my ticket to see #MrPunch at Southampton, anyone else going?

100

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 08/03/2026

The new @katherinepriddy.bsky.social album has arrived - a thing of beauty to look and listen to - go buy it NOW!!

110

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 06/03/2026

Just listened to it, absolutely wonderful from start to finish - just waiting for the vinyl to be delivered at some point today to get the full experience! Looking forward to seeing you perform some of these live when we see you soon in Cardiff

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 05/03/2026

Who did I spy on 'South Today' unveiling a plaque relating to the 90th anniversary of the Spitfire - step forward @psbhq.bsky.social's Mr Willgoose!

000

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

Just happy to see the band that I have loved for over 45 years one last time! Sure that they will include material from right across their catalogue, and with the expanded line up it may give them the chance to play things they haven't previously done live! 🤞

010

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 28/02/2026

Next gig booked - #Gryphon at the #RopetackleArtsCentre in Shoreham. Lovely venue and will be good to see them again!

010

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

I know what you mean, but having first seen them at the Brighton Centre in 1980 I've really loved seeing them every time they tour over here, for me worth the price and the venue!

000

Emsworth Paul @emsworthpaul.bsky.social · 23/02/2026

#Rush50Something ticket announcement!!! Will have to try and get one somehow!! 😬

The best 'Bond theme' that isn't actually a Bond theme - Hurricane by @katherinepriddy.bsky.social - an absolutely brilliant piece of music!!

Today's listening: Steve Hogarth - S.P.Q.R. (live in Rome). What a beautiful album, such a great voice showcased perfectly
