another rescore these are pretty time-consuming and require a lot of cutting around for them to work but i always like seeing the end result, especially when trying to see how they add to gags like this

As much of a nightmare as this server is, 15,000 members in one hour should indicate to Sega this is a franchise worth investing real money into. Look at all these people willing to give you money. They trust you (for some reason).

Your most popular monsters from the past 2 decades are statues that don’t move onscreen. The budget was never the problem to solve with Doctor Who. It was how to realise creative ideas on that budget while telling a story with drama and meaning.

I’m thinking about how the image Brian E. curated for the Beatles in 1962 has proven just as successful, if not more so in 2026. You see younger folks think of them as those cheeky Liverpool boys more than for all the changes they went through and the associated trappings of rock stardom.

Blaze the Cat is extremely lucky she came from Sonic Rush and her unofficial theme is Vela Nova. Top tier Sonic character and top tier Sonic music. Imagine if Schoolhouse or Chronicles or Spinball music played during her boss fight instead.

Is there a fandom term for when a long-running franchise produces less mainline content as it gets older? If not, I’m calling it “The Bond Effect”.

A chart of James Bond movies released per decade.

I didn’t know there was a Lethal Weapon 2. I assume, having seen neither, that the first movie reveals the eponymous “lethal weapon” is his fist, and in the sequel, “lethal weapon 2” is revealed to be his other fist.

I bought Sonic 1 with its box and manual at The Retro Event the other week for $15NZD, which is less than $10USD. I feel like laughing, but $100 each for games that the fans have played to death for 35 years? Nintendo’s taking notes as we speak.

The Good News: I’ve got it working. Some of the Genesis games are a little finnicky, but I’ve chalked that up to the games, not the console. The Bad News: I haven’t got it region free yet, meaning no Wild Woody for me.

At the 1991 CES trade show, Nintendo's booth allowed attendees to stand in front of a green screen, which would then be overlaid over Super Mario World, so they could "be in the game" with Mario. The bad syncing on the overlay gives the resulting footage an extremely amateurish appearance.

It’s pretty obvious when Toon Twitter is being contrarian. If something’s generally well-recieved, they’ll criticise the reasons it’s well-recieved without properly explaining themselves. If something’s generally panned, they’ll gas it up and make memes of it to get a rise out of people.
