Today I also had to report someone on Overwatch for overtly racist nonsense. It had been a few months since I had one of those. But here we are.

A friend of mine who got me into playing World of Warcraft back in like 2004 is trying to get me excited about playing WOW Forever or whatever it's called. To do so, he posted a screenshot that included text from Trade chat. It is about the same as 2004. I will not be joining him.

I still have to get the one that sucks worse than the other one. Flu was a day of feeling tired. COVID is always like a 30-hour flu.

I wonder how long it will take for a new media outlet to arise that isn't just a giant capitalist-fascist wannabe quisling. The means of creating media have become immensely easier than 30 years ago. Do we really need to rely on the legacy studios to produce the things we love?

This is an aggressive version of a common technique. I'd recommend a longer timeline. There are a few things that you only need a few times a year. Most folks go with 6 months. Be aggressive with baby stuff. Anything they grow out of, donate or pitch.

Is it worth it to point to prior technology panics and talk about how those didn't pan out? Photography, radio, the television, the Internet, have all come along with these revolutionary promises and fears and all of them have just become part of the background. History helps!

Just remember outside of a Terminator type catastrophe, which requires a lot of really dumb decisions by people in security apparatus, who tend to be quite bearish on giving up the keys to the apocalypse, the warnings are fantasy. Humans have this way of dropping technology that doesn't work.

My new house has a ring camera and while I dislike the surveillance system BS I do get a tickle whenever I see someone struggle with the aggressive spiderwebs that encircle our home. I've never seen these spiders but their webs are like FutureTech™
