Again I say: how fucking interesting that remote work technology is bad and not worth adopting despite all research pointing to productivity gains, but genAI which offers NOTHING is so important to adopt and force on people who have no use for it despite all the horrible things genAI does

Another sketchbook piece i've been meditating over in recent weeks, little Cabinet of Curiosities. Really enjoying having something like this on the side to doodle on.

a picture of a sketchbook spread done in ink and markers. The image depicts a cabinet of curiosities: shelves showing a collection of weird little things including bones, jars with eyes, skulls and tiny people, some shelves are overgrown by nature, some have faces looking through. There is also a cat sleeping on one, and a Rain World reference tucked in because I'm playing it right now :)

Japan has a wrestling camp for kids where at the end they have a show match in front of their parents to show off what they learned. Thought you'd enjoy this.

I saw an infographic a couple years ago about how to remove source identifiers from links and why it's important, but I can't find it again and too many people I know are sending me links with them so here's an infographic straight from the oven

Header text: "HEY YOU! YES YOU! TAKE THIS SHIT OUT OF LINKS!"

This is followed by a couple example urls, with a red square highlighting the sections with source identifiers. The rest of the text is as follows:

Source identifiers are used to track your activity on a site. Where you came from, what device you use, and even who you talk to. Whether it's written clearly in the url or tied to a random string of characters, it's assigned to your activity.

When you send a link containing a source identifier to somebody and they click it, it signals to the website that you two are connected. And that data goes right back to the website operators, and thus their advertisers.

Whenever you select "share" or "copy link" on a social app or website, it creates a link like this. If you give even the smallest shit about online privacy, it's important to remove them. Everything after the "?" symbol can be removed without issue, especially sections starting with "si=" or "utm_source="

moss mage #art

an illustration of a mage wearing a cloak made predominantly of moss, holding a lantern with a bright, golden flame. their cloak is indistinguishable from the surrounding forest environment, camouflaging amongst the rocks and shrubbery in the foreground. framing the mage is an arched border composed of twisting branches and vines. two, large purple eyes, matching that of the mage's, stare at the viewer.

what they said ⬇️

Tumblr post: generative AI literally makes me feel like a boomer. people start talking about how it can be good to help you brainstorm ideas and i’m like oh you’re letting a computer do the hard work and thinking for you???

Tumblr reply: There are many difficult things that were replaced with technology, and it wasn't a bad thing. Washing machine replaces washing clothes by hand. Nothing wrong with that. Spinning wheel replaces drop spindle. Nothing wrong with that. Generative AI replaces thinking. The ability to think for yourself will always be important. People that want to control and oppress you want to limit your ability to think for yourself as much as possible, but continuing to practice it allows you to resist them.

"My heart is full of swords." #art #faurox

A blue cadaver heart dissected into a half view so that the chambers are visible. Within the chambers are maggots, grubs and numerous tears and void textures. Surrounding the heart are four butterflies with wings in divided colors and with four markings on their wings. Two grubs in juxteposition one brighter colored like the veins and valves, the other dark and curled away in the right atrium. Stabbing through the heart are three medical instruments; they're style is old but they appear clean and white and more spiritual and emotional than literal. Depicted is a bullet remover, a drill, and a pair of needle forceps with a straight sewing needle. These three instruments represent the symbolism of the three of swords.

i've missed drawing scourger!Bren. this sketch was sponsored by the gloves young Bren is wearing on the cover of the Caleb origins comic, by the way #CriticalRole #CriticalRoleFanArt

a digital drawing of Bren, an alternative universe design of Caleb Widogast from Critical Role. he is a human in his thirties, of an average build; he has a freckled face, short messy hair and a beard. he is dressed in a cloak, which is whipping with the wind behind him, and a shirt with rolled up sleeves, exposing the maze-like glyph chant tattoos and scars on his forearm. he also has leather gloves on, which cover only the first three fingers of each hand. he is extending his right arm forward, casting a fire spell, the flame curling around him in an arc. heavy rain is falling around him, and he is looking up at the camera with an intense expression.

Doing art is like playing a roguelike, when you just start out you might get lucky and make a good piece here and there. but it’s not about beating a run once, the real mastery comes after you do it over and over until you learn the systems and tools and can win consistently.

leave me still, beneath the earth #art

an illustration of a knight swathed in green, kneeling and closing her eyes as she plunges her sword into the ground. framing her is a border composed of various scenes; a desolate landscape of a kingdom above her and nondescript ruins on both sides. lower in the border are two skulls nestled in various flora, in the background of which are a multitude of abandoned swords. beneath it all, are the skeletal remains of an unknown monster's claws entombed within the earth.

Something I did for funsies last year: a custom shirt design for my brother where I combined his love for metal music and climbing. #art #metalart

Digital illustration of a man, his lower half missing and looking like a zombie os climbing a floating rock covered in skulls. On top sits a undeas vulture in front of a red sun. The style is trying to emulate a linocut, specifically how that effect is used on metal bandshirts.
