The same year i wrote that, Louise O'Neill's harrowing "Asking for It" came out. It's about a schoolgirl who is subjected to a gang r*pe while wasted at a party. The main character is hard to like. She's an unreliable narrator of her own psyche. It's a difficult, but important, read.

As recent as last year, more people in the UK wanted to bring back the death penalty than didn't. Some things shouldn't be decided by popular opinion because popular opinion is sometimes just wrong. We need to end the idea that "popular" means "correct" & that "expertise" means "biased"

There's this concept in Feminist Theory called Marked/Unmarked. Women are marked. Men are unmarked. In plainer English: women are the exception; men are the default. Notice they never want to preserve men's sport from trans men who are literally controlling the amount of testosterone they have.

Just found out that journalist Nick Wallis is a big part of the cancellation of affirming surgery for trans folk in Wales. Imagine going from being part of getting justice for hundreds of unfairly prosecuted post office workers to...preventing life affirming surgery for a persecuted minority

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

This morning, in the space of 20 minutes, Neil, my dog, got bitten for no reason at all by a reactive oodle type dog. I fell over and faceplanted in the street. Then Neil almost choked on a treat in the coffee shop. I'm sitting in the coffee shop shaking & crying with a skinned knee.
