We’ve escaped to Cornwall for a few days. Revisiting old haunts - we lived here for three years and haven’t been back since we left in 2017. It feels just the same 🥰

Teen is 15 tomorrow and requested a Witcher cake. This is my effort. Previous years have involved Zelda, Minecraft, dragon, pirate and space cakes, amongst others. I’m sad there many not be many more such things 🥲

Such a great event at Run Upcote this morning. I failed yet again to not look ridiculous while running, however this was almost EIGHT MINUTES faster than when I did this event in 2024 😲😲 #trailrunning #runchat

We had a fab time playing Jet Lag Hide and Seek today. Highly recommended if you want something that teens will enjoy, gets you outside and has some challenge to it. We played it using the local bus network in Cheltenham, this worked reasonably well #jetlagthegame

1 more km - done! Officially in #halfmarathon training! Would have liked some more time since Sunday before doing this but this was realistically the only day this week I could do this. Will be moving to evenings next week as the runs get longer, once the clocks go forward 🌞 #runchat

I’m doing the Gloucester 10k next week. Curious to see if I should aim for a sub hour, I went and did the flattest easiest route I could think of. Smashed the PR I’ve held for over SIX YEARS!! I now have a different goal next Sunday 😎

Did my first #trust10k this morning at Woodchester. Knew I would walk some of it but actually it really was just the bad hills. That felt awesome - muddy but sunny and very scenic. I think #nationaltrust knew I was coming when they put this tortoise signs up though 😂 #runchat @nationaltrust.org.uk

Another sunny #parkrunday. Working my way round local ones I’ve not done yet, today I went to Newent. Super friendly, and surprisingly traily (it looks like it will be three laps round playing fields - it’s not!). Am glad I wore speedgoats (not that I was speedy 🤣) #parkrun

Today’s #parkrun was a gentle Jeff round the Forest of Dean. Focused on my breathing after some advice that belly breathing would be better on my shoulder, seems to have helped. Nice course, one to come back to when I can run again. Good to be on trails 💜

Happy extra #parkrun day to those who celebrate. I went, and made it round only walking the bits where it was so busy there was no choice. Crazy busy but saw so many people I know. Really glad I got to do this today. Special thanks to anyone who volunteered at their local event x
