The project will include vehicle assembly plants, 1,000 solar-powered charging hubs and a digital platform." 000
Emma Redfern @emmaredfern.bsky.social · 05/10/2026The Paps of Jura, seen from Craignish. Argyll, Scotland. I haven't been back here in Autumn for quite a while, I am enjoying the soft damp of it immensely. It also means I am avoiding the last of the long hot dusty wait for the rains to arrive in northern Kenya. 010
Emma Redfern @emmaredfern.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Have you looked up the last couple of nights? The moon has been very bright. The moon is always bright in Kenya, but here in Argyll there is often so much cloud I forget the moon is even there. Not so over this last full moon period however, which has coincided with a spell of good weather. 000
Emma Redfern @emmaredfern.bsky.social · 29/09/2026The low pressure system is passing us by to the west and the worst of the wind is out beyond those islands. Even so is a bit breezy here this afternoon, with some strong gusts, and the light is moody. Argyll, Scotland. 032
Emma Redfern @emmaredfern.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Today was dreich! Which of course is not uncommon in Argyll. Until about 5pm, when the sun came out and everything was lit up with golden light and the colours of autumn. Lovely. 010

Emma Redfern @emmaredfern.bsky.social · 11/06/2026Already this year a town in northern Kenya, Mandera, has recorded the highest ever June temperature in the country. Now we have an El Niño, and while climate changes make the impacts less predictable, we can be fairly sure it's just going to get hotter. 110

Emma Redfern @emmaredfern.bsky.social · 26/02/2026The rains have come early this year, very early. Here, on the equator, weather and the seasons used to be predictable to within a day or two. Now they are out by up to a month, or no longer have recognizable patterns. #climatechange #Kenya #Africa 020
