At midsummer, I visited my folks to help out in the annual sheep shear. emmacoxcreates.substack.com/p/midsummer-... #sheep #farming #nature #summer #writing #cornwall
A photo of a sheep being sheared overlaid with the following text: Midsummer Sheep Shearing An idyllic chore or a massive load of stress? It depends. This year, it was certainly idyllic - and hot! There are many calendar markers throughout the year. Festivals, birthdays, and such. The rhythms of the earth: light and dark, bloom and decay, ebb and flow, the rising and shrinking... emmacoxcreates.substack.com

Done! But I know they can see all the incorrect answers we collectively put in. They must get such a laugh from those. Let me know if you need clues. They puns are still terrible, but not as bad as the one they did a few years back for The Man Who Died Twice. #HiddenBooksGame

9am: receding tide, before the tourists.
The receding tide reveals a shallow pool with patterns in the sand made by the tide. A clear blue sky reflects in the water. Beyond, dry sand, the quiet, blue sea, and an island with a white lighthouse.

I revived my Ko-fi page as a nook to share art, work-in-progress pieces, and notes from my creative capers. It’s where I explore the Cornish landscape and its folklore. It's free to follow. Donate if you fancy. It’ll keep my polar bear mug filled. ko-fi.com/emcox #KofiMembershipChallenge #Art

It started as the colours of the Ukrainian flag and morphed into a painting of a field filled with daffodils. I love the colours of spring. It is not quite the view from my window, but close. #Art #Painting #Nature
