Irony is dead
An event flyer for London Climate Action Week, titled "Extreme heat: Improving governance and strengthening action around the world," features a background photograph of a dry, arid landscape with a road and mountains under a hazy blue sky. At the top, logos for the "Climate Resilience Alliance" and "London Climate Action Week" are visible next to a red "EVENT" tag, while the bottom of the flyer lists the event details—scheduled for 24 June from 09:30-12:00 BST at the Shaw Library, London School of Economics and online—alongside partner logos including LSE Grantham Research Institute, IFRC, Mercy Corps, and Practical Action. Stamped boldly across the center of the image in large, dark red, capitalized letters is the ironic overlay text: "CANCELLED DUE TO EXTREME HEAT."

My teen told me today her new English teacher is encouraging his class to use AI to help them structure essays. She does not want to, understands value of the human mind. Now she's worried she will get poor marks. Whatever guardrails are in place, they are not addressing promotion of AI by teachers.

Biggest problem is, this isn't people voting for change or what they think is best for them and their families, it's sheer protest voting. They will support any mouthpiece that confirms whatever racist ideology they're being fed. That's not going to be any different at a General Election.

A grid of nine colorful and varied artworks, mostly abstract and filled with visual excess, against a neutral background.
