Yes I can’t use tape either due to MCAS, even with the sensitive ones. I’ve been using my thoracic brace today and it is so helpful for sitting. I’m just using it for 10-15 minutes at a time as it uses a lot of muscles I’ve not worked for a long time but it’s so helpful

I hope you can! I was very fortunate that my orthotist was the one who suggested it in the first place - I didn’t even know it was something available on the NHS! I’m also interested to see if it helps with POTS too

Exactly how I feel about it as well! I don’t even have to use it every day but if it means I could get 1% more out of an activity as I wear it, that’s incredible imo. So lucky to have an orthotist willing to spend money on me because they’re definitely not cheap

A genuinely good orthotics appointment this morning - come away with two new neck braces (in different styles), a thoracic brace, and I’ve been measured for a body suit to stabilise my shoulders, hips and lower back! Having an orthotist who understands hEDS is amazing

Hospital appointment today means travelling by stretcher. Normally at least 2 hours of waiting either side of the appointment to be picked up as well. If you can help me get a wheelchair that meets my needs, I’ll be able to travel independently again which is a dream for me gofund.me/03945c24
