My heart is completely broken for the children, families, teachers, and entire Silver Rail Elementary community in Bend, Oregon today. Elementary school should be about jungle gyms, math class, and making new friends—not learning where to hide from a shooter.

None of the ones I called had walk ins. Maybe London is slower to get enough vaccines. But starting flu shot deliveries in mid October after flu season has already started is a problem, I think.

The Ontario government has failed on making flu and COVID shots easily available at the worst time of the year for respiratory illness. You can‘t walk in to a pharmacy to get a shot. You must book online, and can only walk in “sometime in November.” I can’t get mine until the end of this month.

It’s going to cost me $10K to renounce. But then it will cost $7K to file five years of taxes, $450 for the renunciation fee, plus about another $2K to file the final tax return the year I renounce. There's also the cost of travelling to the US consulate because there isn't one where I live.
