When I went back to edit this one I decided I hated it. So I rewrote it completely. It is…using a less than idyllic interpretation of the prompt. 6&7 may have some delay, soulbound needs to be edited before/alongside legacy, to keep them cohesive archiveofourown.org/works/65789881 #emetwolweek25

Day 7. Soulbound I really adore ascian prime as a concept, especially as a more unique fusion of individual transformations. [ #emetwolweek25 | #emetwol ]

Mimira, a black haired tan skinned lalafell with blue-green vividly glowing eyes, floats as she releases enough aether to bind her and Emet-Selch's souls together, to save his life.

Zoomed out shot of the same scene, showing Mimira and Emet-Selch (in his Ascian garb) standing across from each other. Aether flows between them.

Close up of Emet-Selch, appearing to be in pain but lacking the fatal chest wound he would have had otherwise. Aether glows around him.

Day 7 - Soulbound "The creation we made to our world, it shall carry our love to the skies, so that on your every journey the wind shall remind you that you are free to go where you please, yet never alone...this I promise you..." #emetwolweek25 #emetwol #gpose #ChthonicLight

Iris and Emet stand in front of an archway beneath the moon and stars, performing a Soul Binding Ceremony. A medium-sized bird with blue-dark purple feathers of their own creation, what they named a paradiseus, hovers just behind them.

Arya and Emet-Selch sitting together on a bench in Sharlayan. She is leaning against him in comfort, her eyes closed, a hand over his heart, and a smile on her face. He has a hand in her hair and is holding one of her hands. His eyes are also closed, and he is leaning his head against hers with a smile on his face.

May 17: Legacy "Do not squander it. The legacy I leave you. Save our Star, Clara. Do this for me...and for what we once had long ago." "Have, Emet. What we have....because it never left, nya." #ClaraCatteOC #FFXIV #EmetSelch #EmetWoL #emetwolweek25 #Clemet

Clara and Emet are in Ultima Thul along the Elpis Flowers he and Hythlodaeus created with Clara's vision. With the way open, Emet is returning to the Aetherial Sea. However, he bids Clara to travel the Star as bearer of Azem's crystal once the Star is saved from the Final Days. He wants her to promise such in memory for what he once had with her former Ancient self, Amahelia. Clara smiled, correcting him that the love is what they have still. Not even the Sundering could destroy their love for one another. Emet comes closer, gently grabbing her by the arms as she moves hers around him. As he leans down, she leans up, their lips meeting for the final time before he returns to his rest. Like her other deceased beloveds, he will be with her....always.
