I haven't been anywhere near as able-bodied or -minded as usual, but if you're London-based these are also still available @ 56a Infoshop & Freedom bookshop afaik. New QR codes with links to this campaign will be making their way out and I'll be seeing if I can source/make more to hand out myself

a hand holding an A3 sized poster which has a silhouette of resistance fighter wearing a keffiyeh wrapped around their head aiming a slingshot to the side on it with a red anatomically correct heart in the background

text at the top and bottom of the poster reads the following in all capital letters

While we mourn, we also fight

Our hearts are the frontlines against occupation and genocide.

Anti-colonial solidarity

one that was actually more of a meme, in the sense that it was actually shared by more than just me:

Even if you take away the American part, this person uses anarchy as aesthetic while advocating for leftists to join the police lol. But ofc it's everyone else that's a "fake leftist" 🥴 bsky.app/profile/dana...

bluesky post from danarchylives.bsky.social

FACTS: The 3 best things young (18-25 YO) leftists can do to protect their communities moving forward:

1.) Join the Police, especially state police. Keep in mind you'll need to pretend to be stupid to get into the academy

WHY?
Control the means of suppression and influence other cops.

Everyone should read Iman's substack post. There are still things that people obstensibly on the left say that are more for their own self-image than any act of solidarity. Consider how you 🫵🏽 have been contributing to the dehumanisation of Palestinians and the delegitimisation of acts of resistance

The act of occupation, in itself, forfeits the right to claim self-defense.

I want everyone to look at this before I probably disappear back over there again, tell me reading isn't fundamental

They're joking about him dying of cancer, which is a horrifying death that happens to too many people, and incidentally will trigger anyone who has lost anyone to cancer, or has, or currently has a loved one with cancer, or had/has cancer themselves

Hey what was their wealth built on? Were none of those horrifying deaths?

They all were, but I'm opposed to the death penalty, so it's a bit ideologically inconsistent to wish cancer on someone because I hate the monarchy

You're not even being consistent here, I hope you realise that - if people could wish death on someone and actually have it happen, you might sort of have a point.

So it's fine to wish a painful death on someone so long as you don't have the magic powers to make it happen? You need to spend more time with actual people, because social media has added your brain

You're right, waste of my time, I'll just block

Same, I hope they never learn about what they're so keen to dismiss, because they obviously know nothing abt

Last Thursday we received the horrific news that a body had been found. Everyone, no matter how much they knew him, is beyond devastated, but they have also come together to honour Gboyega's legacy. Please share and donate if you can www.gofundme.com/f/gboyega-od...

We are utterly heartbroken at the tragic, untimely and avoidable death of our beloved friend, colleague and incomparable poet, Gboyega Odubanjo. Loved by many and widely recognised as the voice of his generation, 27-year-old Gboyega had received an Eric Gregory Award, New Poets' Prize and the Michael Marks Award, and without doubt would have gone on to produce a lifetime of enduring work as one of poetry's shining lights. An editor at Bad Betty Press and the poetry magazine Bath Magg, Gboyega gave support and mentorship to many developing artists; his contribution within the poetry community was invaluable, as was his friendship. It is bitterly painful and disturbing that his death was allowed to happen, at a small, and ostensibly family-friendly festival. It is confounding that we, his family and friends, were told repeatedly by Northamptonshire Police that an extensive search was underway - including searches of the lake, in which he was not found for several days.
