Emergency Group played one of their Tubby’s residency nights and we were blown away. Didn’t know they had a release, thanks for the heads up!

I love hearing the sound of “rock music”

I’ve listened to Bitches Brew probably hundreds of times over 26 years and each listen is like hearing it for the first time.

Made a giant shuffle playlist of albums I’ve always meant to check out. So far every time i say damn what’s this, it’s been Agitation Free.

A brand-new release from @emergencygroup.bsky.social for Bandcamp Friday! It's a live recording from a performance at Westbeth in Manhattan in October. Contains three exciting improvisations, including one with our friends Tsuyoshi Honjo and Michael Moss. emergencygroup.bandcamp.com/album/live-a...

New live show download up on our bandcamp. This gig was special as it’s our first with an actual piano (alongside usual keys and synth) and we were joined by two fantastic horn players - Michael Moss and Tsuyoshi Honjo - as well. Enjoy! emergencygroup.bandcamp.com/album/live-a...

Huge thanks to everyone at @aquariumdrunkard.com for including both(!) of our 2025 releases. “Brooklyn’s Emergency Group are heirs to New York City’s late twentieth-century no-wave adjacent mutant jazz and free rock scene. No one else out there even comes close to that era’s cerebral intensity.” 😍

4/ No more glorification or rationalization of violence. I'm not going to pull punches - I think Donald Trump, and his celebration of January 6th, has done more to normalize political violence than any other American. He should apologize and put those people back in jail.

Can't articulate what is going on w/ Emergency Group, but we loved seeing them live (and later, the Mind Screen LP). Splash o' those endlessly riveting fusion-era Miles comps (Big Fun, Get Up With It), Devotion-era John McLaughlin, but also like good, propulsive post-punk stuff? Anyways its great
