In 2022, before Chatgpt and everything that came next, I participated in this study. It was framed as a research on a new tool that I could try and offer my opinion on. I didn't know that it was trained on copyrighted material.

The IMAX sound mixing for this film feels designed to inflict maximum pain and torment to the viewer, so if you have any hearing sensitivities or your nervous system is already shot to hell (like mine), I’d suggest two levels of hearing protection if you don’t want to throw up from the sound.

My spoiler-free "The Odyssey" review: this is the loudest movie I have ever watched in a theater. I was armed with concert earplugs, and I still felt as though my brain was going to splatter out of my shattered eardrums. The unnecessary volume and thumping bass actively rearranged my organs.
