Was taking pics of my latest ice dyes when my partner came up from walking the dog. I began excitedly pointing out how beautiful the colors of this sleeve are in sunlight, & he said I just don't think I see what you see. 🤯It dawned on me the link between tetrachromatic vision & love of tie dye

It's 94° and the air is still shit, but I'm making progress crocheting a pair of whimsical wool goose mittens for my bestie's upcoming birthday 🧶

Finished sewing my Sally shirt dress a week or 2 ago but it was too hot to get pics. Pattern is my own improvisation inspired by a bunch of different shirts on pinterest that were almost what I wanted. I bought the fabric 12-14 yrs ago, & had a diff silhouette in mind for it then.

Yesterday was the two year gotchaversary for our sweet empty nest baby, Enzo. I knew getting a dog would be life-changing, and I'm so glad we waited til we were ready to handle it. But I wasn't prepared for how he would connect us to our neighborhood community, mostly the other dog people, lol

Woke up today and decided it was time to sew myself a new pair of heatwave t-shirt scrap shorts. They're not as exciting as other pairs I've made, but they are lightweight, comfy and finished in one day.

Thrilled with the results of this recent ice dye commission. My friend asked me to take a pure white baby quilt, hand stitched by grandma, and make it more colorful so they would actually use it without fear of noticeably staining it, before their 2 1/2 year old outgrows it.
