With our SA, group meeting on Capitol Hill, talking priorities, esp in housing & health care. I felt like Ainsley Hayes from the West Wing: The people I have met are extremely qualified, their intent is good. Their commitment is true, they are righteous, and they are patriots. And I’m their poet

I think I understand Emily Dickinson's decision to remain in poetic obscurity more and more each day - she didn't have to fill out grant or fellowship applications.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world. Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

All I’m saying is that if Americans are going to go to Mars, that they do it legally. I wouldn’t want them working hard to get all the way over and then deported because of paperwork.

What are the chances the people pardoned for invading the capital can turn around and replace the workers lost to deportation?

Maybe it’s time to pivot to a virtual AWP and go back to LA in a few years like how KC got a redo from Covid. It makes little sense to go and occupy places to stay while locals are looking for places to live.

So now that they’re phasing out the horse-drawn carriages in downtown San Antonio, hear me out: LOW RIDERS - expressions of local culture - can be decorated according to the season - low and slow, but still make the light - tires don’t get hurt like hooves do - no poop in the street

🌮🌮🌮🌮 A taco can be so much more than just a taco. Tacos — and the taquerias you visit to get them — hold emotional and personal connections. Texas Monthly’s taco editor José Ralat explored those connections while he compiled a list of the 50 best tacos in the state for his newest Nov cover story.

They were going to give out one more Michelin star in San Antonio, but they lost the notebook where they wrote the name of the place down. All they could remember was that it had “Jalisco” somewhere in the name and well, you know, they couldn’t narrow it down after that.
