"Kaaterskill" Kaaterskill Falls in a gem of a waterfall in New York. The water cascades 260 feet down into the creek, making this not only one of the tallest in NY, but in the entire eastern United States. A difficult place to get clean photos, as the place is overrun by 9am. #photography

Getting to this lake for sunrise is quite an adventure. From the 3am trailhead start, to the rock scrambling in the dark, to the very high risk of running into a grizzly bear! Once the sun comes up and graces this scene with light, all the effort to get there is forgotten about.

This image is a happy accident! While out shooting long exposures at Beavertail I found this composition I really liked. I was able to capture some beautiful details in the water, but what really set this image apart for me was the unique flare.

After my first time shooting this train, I knew I wanted to try to get a photo of it coming head on. This was going to require setting my camera up on the tracks. I used my telephoto lens in order to be as far away from the train as possible while still making it big enough in the frame.

Taylor Point in Jamestown offers what I think is the best view of the Newport Bridge. It is particularly nice at sunrise as the sun comes up behind the bridge, and on days when the clouds are set up nicely, you get a beautiful pre sunrise burn like this. #photography #rhodeisland #newport
