When they got up to leave my wife said to Mr Purple Jumper that he deserved a medal. He nodded. The group of 6 people were all Over the age of 65. Mr Gammon looked as though his arteries may not last the evening. However, the funniest part was that they were all going on a cruise together tomorrow

As usual with the Mr Gammon stereotype he then went on to comment about how there were too many of them. He did however say that he wouldn't vote Reform as they were cooked. At last, I though, he isn't really that stupid. He then said he'd vote Conservative again (he's back to being stupid)

Obviously Mr Gammon was now showing his lack of data as the treaty was in 1992. Mr Gammon kept getting louder and almost shouting the same lines. He had voted Brexit and would do again as we didn't have our sovereignty anymore. Mr Gammon then added that he wasn't bothered about immigration

As the debate became more political and based around the EU Mr gammon became more irate with his friend Mr Purple Jumper. Mr Gammon kept stating that he was happy with the common market until it became politicized by the Maastricht Treay 0f 1991.

The debate was about the EU. Mr Gammon (not sure if it's real name) began by questioning his friend's business success as his friend had said he wasn't making to much profit but was happy with his earnings.

I too remember the 70s, 3 day week and power cuts. They were caused by an oil crisis and the Heath government's disastrous budget of 1972. Thatcher came in and attacked unions and workers rights. I live in the countryside. The village I live in has grown by approximately 65% in ten years. Infrastructure has not changed. I don't mind small developments in the area. The problem that I have is the undeveloped brown belt areas. Develop green belt if brown belt is unavailable.
