Considering I grew up in a very abusive family aside from my grandmother, I often view Rin's mother as the mother I never had, and every second I spend with her is always time well invested.

Although DJ Murdock didn't host his set today, Rin and I still had a very lovely afternoon. In Rin's hometown, we celebrated Rin's mother's 70th birthday with Rin's entire family. We had Mexican for lunch, brought home an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen, and played all kinds of board games.

I'm no stranger to abuse. My dad used to tell me things like "I was a mistake" and that I "should grow up", among many other hateful things, and my mom wanted fuck all to do with me. I lost both of them in a car crash when I was 11, and I wish I could say that I miss them, but I really don't.

Today, after a bit of self-discovery, despite having no formal diagnosis, I can confidently confirm that I have autism. I feel not only honored to be considered part of Rin's RL family, but blessed to be part of Fauna's family as well. Thank you all for your moral support… I truly love you all. ❤️

My grandmother had been my most stable parental figure from 1996 up until I started college in 2009. Though I knew she was ill, she told me to go ahead and enjoy college. I got the call at the end of my first day of classes, and I just lost it. I found out 17 years later that breast cancer took her.

I also remember that a lot of the less fortunate students teaching me how to defend myself, and there were a lot of teachers and faculty members who had my back, as well. Life at home, however, was extremely rough. I had a loving mother and an abusive father; I lost both in a car crash in 1996.

I had been talking to Rin this morning about what it’s like to be autistic. As he shared his childhood/teenage experiences with me, I remember being in similar situations. Everyone at school knew I was a little different, but I remember that all the rich students embraced me instead of shunning me.
