I was driving with my nephew who wouldn't put his seatbelt on. After arguing with him for too long, I told him sternly it was non-negotiable. Later he told his mom he learned a new word. What was it? He couldn't remember so I reminded him. His mom asked him what does it mean? "Put your seatbelt on."

I resolved to be much more intentional and keep pace with the group, despite doing it naturally. I've vastly reduced my daily calorie intake, focusing on grilled chicken and veggies instead of fried chicken and large fries. Today I'm at 234! Next stop:220s!

For the last few months, I've been trying to walk a little at lunch and eat a little better and was down 10 pounds. In mid-June, my best friend sent me and another friend a text saying that he was in the 220s for the first time in forever. The other was also making progress, both due to Ozempic.

I've been trying to work on losing weight the last few months. I have a highly sedentary, stressful job that requires long hours, often into the evening. I also hate exercise and love to eat. This deadly combination lead me to my highest weight at 250, with a high body fat percentage (I'm 6').
