Day 8 of my #inktober! This game was the best way to go through quarters at the arcade. I still have no idea how to properly play it, but the teaser that plays on the loading screen is big nostalgia!

My attempt at the main character from Dragons’s Lair. I’m a sucker for Don Bluth.

Day 7 of the game themed #inktober! This one is a family favorite:)

A quick sketch of my three cats playing along with me.

Day 6 of my game themed #inktober! The music for this game really made my 9 year old brain explode with endorphins. It was a different time:)

An image of two aliens who love to have a good time, but may not be sober enough to drive.

Day 5 of my #inktober! Metal gear solid never took itself too seriously in my opinion. Which is what made it fun for me:)

A silly picture of a man hiding in a box.

Day 4 of #inktober ! This was the first final fantasy I played start to finish, but not the last:)

A ink drawing of Auron, one of the characters from Final Fantasy 10. He has a big sword as befits the genres stereotype. He was one of my favorite characters from the game.

Day 3 of my #inktober ! Another vintage game I remember playing on actual floppy drives:)

An image of a covered wagon heading westward with a scroll dealing “You have died of dysentery.” My most common end game:)

Day 2 of my game themed #inktober, X-Men Arcade! The games on my list are all favorites of mine, but the order is arbitrary.

An image of X-man Colossus using his special attack from the game. It looks like a big explosion!

I’m doing a game theme this year for inktober. I thought I would start with one of my first games ever… Stick!

A drawing of a hand holding a stick. Lots of white out employed for such a a simple drawing , but what can you do:)

Found this beauty in my back yard. It is huge, and named the yellow garden spider. Which sounds very mundane for something the size of a skulltula.

Perfectly normal giant spider, nothing to see here…

Hey! You know what’s more fun than the Superior Foes of Spider-Man? Um… not much! Which is why the reposting here is such great news for comics fans far and wide!

Just finished listening to sgt. pepper’s lonely hearts club band. My first time hearing it on vinyl. It still slaps!

Meanwhile, the Howard piece in the video below is now for sale on the HelioscopePDX Etsy store! www.etsy.com/listing/4456...

Ink wash drawing of Howard the Duck by Colleen Coover. 8.5x11". Howard is holding a fat stogie cigar, wearing a comically small hat and large tie, and no pants, as is the custom in his world. Alas, since the 1970s, he has been trapped in a world he never made. Same, Howard. Same.

Just got in some new NEXT DOOR DUNGEON spot illustrations by @elliscomics.bsky.social. This one's from a moment when Baubles (the rhinoceros) has Had Enough. I love dropping little image treats like this into NEXT DOOR DUNGEON. www.royalroad.com/fiction/1507...

Speaking of my ongoing NEXT DOOR DUNGEON series, I dropped in another illustration by @elliscomics.bsky.social. This one is a bulljaw, a rather boisterous critter. It's in Chapter 16, but of course you should read from the start to get all the story n' goodies! www.royalroad.com/fiction/1507...

I'm going to be occasionally dropping some spot illustrations into the prose, too. I'm having my pal @elliscomics.bsky.social help with that!

Finishing the 5th Elephant audiobook again. Never a disappointment to me:) Here’s some sketching of Gaspode the dog.

Frankenstein 2025 was enjoyable, but felt a bit pieced together. It’s such a Byronic take on the story you’ll almost forget Mary Shelley wrote the book.
