Nahhh, I’ve also felt the same way about a lot of things. At the minimum, interrogating why art makes you feel a certain way lets you make better art, and it’s important to keeping the community around that art vibrant and diverse.

I think the fact that they are a little weird actually adds to their cuteness, and a lot of “traditionally cute” characters are a bit weird in their designs, even when designers were going out of their way to be over the top in ways you don’t generally go for.

I would say… bouncy? I’m not an expert in visual art but your poses seem very dynamic, like I could imagine the movement before and after the pose. (An aside - I never got why some artists disliked being compared to / said to be influenced by x. I’ve always taken it as a high compliment.)

Hmmmm. I think we might just have fundamentally different definitions and understandings of art then lol. This is what I suspected the first time it came up. My personal take is that ludic stuff, and toys, are in and of themselves an art form which is worthy of my time and consideration.
