I love how CHI reviewing guidelines specifically say "please avoid using 'you' statements" and yet I have just received the rudest fucking review from someone that uses exclusively you statements. While also asking for IRR tests and other statistics on qualitative research.

I was really confused as to why I hadn't gotten a bunch of emails like 'register for the hybrid interface' or 'here's a list of links to attend sessions remotely' last night (Mon AM in Japan). It is a huge bummer that the price was so expensive given how bare bones the remote option is.

So my takeaway from CHI's "remote" option is that I paid 300 bucks for access to a discord and a ten minute zoom presentation as it is next to impossible to participate in anything else. There's no go to this zoom and watch talks live. Just pre-recorded videos of papers that are also on the DL.
