🦑 Aquarium Friday! 🪸Today we are talking blue coral, which means we’re talking Okinawa, C. Anne Claus, and the concept of “conservation-near”! 🛰️ IMO, this is an especially important lens when your work (like many of ours) involves a lot of remote sensing and mapmaking from far, far away.

Aquarium Friday! 🦑 (A stingray emoji would be really cute…) This week, one of our leopard whiprays was especially interested in interacting with guests. You can really see the size difference between the whipray (~10 feet long) and the other rays in the exhibit (~2 feet) in this photo.

Many of us don’t work directly in space science, but we were inspired to become scientists by NASA. Today was an inspirational day, and I hope Artemis II galvanizes the public to recognize the importance of having a strong science program for our identity, not to mention our security and prosperity.
