I got the first COVID vaccine when I was 10 weeks pregnant. I got the second shot 4 weeks later. Once babu was born, I didn't take him *ANYWHERE* until after he had the three shot series of the COVID vaccine. He was 9 months old before he saw the inside of a store, a school, a library, etc.

Friendly reminder for #clergy preaching John 12: Lazarus of Bethany did NOT die of leprosy. That's the Lazarus from Jesus' parable in Luke 16. I had to delete a whole paragraph of my sermon when I realized I'd conflated the two.

Listening to some Sarah Paine lectures recently, I learned that Japan invaded mainland china b/c of the worldwide economic catastrophe set off by America imposing tariffs (Smoot–Hawley). That changed the calculus of the Chinese civil war which gave rise to Mao, etc., etc.
