The best cheap alternative drug is warfarin, which comes with diet restrictions & requires weekly blood tests to adjust the dose My grandfather took warfarin for many years. I *really* do not want to take warfarin

The cheapest marketplace insurance that covers my meds costs more than the pills themselves Our household income is too high on paper to qualify for any discounts, but with 2 children, there’s truthfully not much “disposable” income left over to pay for the meds that keep me out of the ER

No generic exists at the 10mg dose, but one does exist at 2.5mg I can’t change my prescription to use the 2.5mg, though, without scheduling an costly in-person appointment And I can’t import any cheaper foreign medication because US Customs made that illegal literally last month

So I had a severe DVT blood clot in 2022 that guaranteed that I’d be on blood thinners for the rest of my life My symptoms have been well managed since then by taking 10mg Xarelto daily, but after losing my insurance a few months ago, that medication has become unaffordable (~$500 / month)

I really messed up when I chose to have a chronic illness while living in the US, didn't I? I guess I should've thought that one through before I got laid off. My bad 🤷‍♀️

I see lots of people talk about the SMB1 TAS tie, but did you know that Luigi's Mansion is on the cusp of being beaten even faster than that? Since the first sub 5 in January, Pablo and Jovin have traded the record back & forth, and as of last week, it's now within a second of the elusive 4:54.265

Parallel screenshots of the Super Mario Bros. and Luigi's Mansion world record times. The former is 4m 54s 332ms set 1 month ago by Niftski, while the latter is 4m 55s 262ms set 4 days ago by PabloRuns

Is this the same thing as in 3 houses where armored classes absolutely tanked your growth rates to the point of them being objectively terrible to level up as?

Tonight’s stream involves me eating one chicken nugget for every Boo I catch in the original Luigi’s Mansion There are 50 boos in the game Not even God could help me with this, if he even dared to try

Makes sense. I figured SNES would be trickier given skill swap shenanigans and overall more punishing RNG It’s been a while since I’ve skimmed guides for either game, but I recall them both being very extensive …I’ll have to keep the SNES run in my back pocket for a rainy day :)

000

Is the Remake’s Low Level generally accepted to be an easier time, or are they both equivalently difficult / frustrating in their own unique ways?

It would probably have to be in the daytime Which also means I’d have to do it sober…

I’m currently sitting at the unbelievable sum of 75 subscriber points, and these are the only remaining stretch goals I have The last one in particular would involve pushing myself farther than I’ve ever done before. I was nervous just announcing it tonight, but I’m prepared to meet the occasion

80 subs - Cooking Stream with my wife
90 subs - Super Mario RPG Low Level
100 subs - Karaoke stream

Also, if you missed the live announcement, I will in fact be learning 2 new speedgames before the year is out: Spyro the Dragon and Katamari Damacy! I haven’t properly learned a new speedgame in 7 years, so I’m hyped to find out what it’s like to learn everything from scratch again

Also, my sub point total is already so high that I needed to cook up even more milestone incentives to accommodate! There's, like, NO way that I'm getting past the original goal of 65 points... ...but if that *did* happen... Let's just say I'm prepared to bring out the big guns

Screenshot of my Subtember milestone incentives, featuring: F-Zero GX: All Cups (Master Difficulty) w/ Hard Banger (25 subs), WarioWare: Smooth Moves Playthrough (30 subs), Luigi's Mansion: Dance Pad% (35 subs), Learn Spyro the Dragon (PS1) 120% in October (40 subs), Mario Kart + Alcohol + Motion Controls stream (45 subs), Learn Katamari Damacy (PS2) Any% (No Boost) in November (50 subs), Mario Party: Bronze Battle (3rd place wins) w/ friends (55 subs), Luigi's Mansion: Dead% + Max% (60 subs), Dota 2 stream (65 subs), Children's Book reading stream (w/ viewer requests) (70 subs), Cooking Stream with my Wife (80 subs), and two mystery milestones at 90 subs and 100 subs which will be revealed at 65 and 75 subs, respectively.

I am exactly halfway through my Subtember event, which means the final week kicks off tonight! Featuring up to 8 consecutive days of streams filled with some of the most exciting Bad Ideas™ I could come up with—and it all begins with my second foray into Street Fighter 6 ranked mode playing Terry 🐺

Screenshot of my stream schedule for the upcoming week. Starting from September 23, we have: Street Fighter 6, Rocket League, Super Mario 3D World, Luigi's Mansion (Chicken Nugget%), Luigi's Mansion: Prepare to Cry (Kaizo Mod), Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy, and day 1 of the community-decided randomizer!

I've seen the opposite end of this spectrum too, where the company bends over backwards to the point of absurdity trying to recruit somebody, so I know what it feels like to be considered valuable This is like getting spit on & being expected to apologize for being in the way
