We use gender-neutral pronouns for one of our dogs, and it visibly distresses some people, who apparently cannot figure out how to, idk, conceptualize or interact with the dog at all under these conditions. It's very funny and strange to behold.

Currently at the point in developmental feedback where my head is so full of the story that almost nothing else gets to be there and it's like the text has become my body. (But like, in a good way? It's part of my process, *probably* not like possession or whatever 😂)

(It's also worth considering whether you're just not noticing teens unless they irk you and are missing the rest. Once my therapist assigned me a project of thinking one nice thing about everyone I saw. One of the side effects was realizing how many people I normally wasn't even seeing.)
