In @nytopinion.nytimes.com It's not just you. In many parts of the country, extreme heat affects much more of the year than it once did. See how your county stacks up.

Opinion | Summer Has Gotten Much Hotter. See How Bad It Is Where You Live.

The notion of enduring the summer rather than embracing it has spread far beyond the Sun Belt.

Looks like their library is down - has been for weeks (?) this might be why I stopped. Managed to grab ~9000 docs though, but that must be a mere fraction of what there is.

I actually started doing this for DTIC. Will try to get back to it….

Even with inverse square falloff? Yikes.

Aaaaaaaand there it is. There’s your “technical limitations.”

Prob unlikely, but if “…with due considerations of technical limitations” turns into Iran going: “Sooo, guys. We DID mine the straits just a tiny bit,” ….. 😬

Apparently the cosmic riddle is “writing a complete sentence.”

I’ll be more direct: RIF protection is needed for more than 2 months. I expect repubs will remove this language in a revised CR or new budget in Feb. So, this seems to have limited impact in the short, intermediate, and long-term. Regarding short-term: unfiring people doesnt mean total reversal.

I have a hard time seeing anti-riff language as a dealbreaker for dems if it means enabling a second shutdown in Jan/Feb. So, its impact seems fleeting.

Doesnt this only cover… two months? That’s weak.

Changing my party registration to independent. Thx.

Also… nothing is truly “off the record” for a public servant. It’s all a record.

Though disappointingly, this article completely ignores nuclear, which is a clean energy. The unnecessary closure of Indian Pt, which was a profitable plant that provided 10% of the state’s generating power, certainly also had an effect on prices in NY…

Think of treaties as like vaccines -- more effective than quack cures but deeply unpopular among the stupidest people on earth.

Reporter: Five fellow mayoral candidates came here within 90 minutes of you being arrested and called for your release. What does that say about the tenor of the mayor's race? Lander: Was one of them Andrew Cuomo? Reporter: It was not. Lander: Imagine that!

Seen any explanation for why Farda Motors was apparently a target? From ISW’s June 14 evening roundup:

I’ve activated the State Emergency Operations Center. Local law enforcement in Champlin and Brooklyn Park have the full resources of the State of Minnesota behind them. We are monitoring the situation closely and will share more information soon.

Yeah I’m looking forward to some of the new mechanics. But, prob gonna give it a while to grow - or until it drops in a sale. Been burned before!

Yikes. If they want to release with a $70+ USD tag, the product better feel polished, at least.

Far from the same, but there was also this VR experience made 7+ years ago. Don’t know how it ended. I think I have an alpha release somewhere. www.reddit.com/r/twinpeaks/...
