I feel conflicted about that because I do want to support film makers who have the courage to criticise tech bros and the richest man in the world but I feel like it is a bit of missed opportunity because he could have gone way further. Maybe if it ever comes to one of the streamers (no way) 😉

Especially since HBO are involved that it could have been a limited series. Because at the end of the day the general audience is not going to sit for 4 hours (10 minutes intermission) to watch this. So a better format that could have explored these issues is a series. But my guess is that Gibney->

It has to come with strong regulation on platforms and AI systems, stronger regulation on monopolies and importantly - making the surveillance adtech business model that these platforms rely on illegal. So media/data/AI literacy is part of the solution ->

There is an over emphasis on kids, which is understandable, but what about the rest of us? Older people are often left out of this conversation although they also get harmed by platforms and AI systems. 2) Media/data/AI literacy is not the one solution that will save us all. ->

My personal view is that synthetic data goes against everything we do - ethically, morally and scientifically. If you don't care what people think, feel or do, then don't do surveys, focus groups, workshops. Otherwise what's the difference between me just inventing answers and using synthetic data?
