One thing that is so frustrating is that because the political issue is so intractable, it just exists as an endless discourse about who is justified in hating who. Never is a viable solution presented. Just endless rounds of who hates who and is that morally justified, etc. playing "gotcha" onine.

So my main hope is that we can move away from moralistic arguments about who hates which group, + move toward pragmatic solutions that lessen violence, etc. + don't just try to "prove" who has the "right" to do x because the bible says etc. Nobody ever admits they don't have the right to do x.

If 10, 15, 20% of all Jews on earth lived in Israel + 2/3 of all European Jews weren't killed in WW2, would be easier to separate concepts "hatred of Israel" + "hatred of Jews". But that's not how things are. So you get decades of screaming about what is/isn't antisemitism + it never gets resolved.

HALF of all Jews on earth live in Israel. The ONLY nation on earth with majority Jewish population/government (Muslims + Christians dominate elsewhere). So if hating Israel becomes "priority one", is it antisemitic to hate "only" half of all Jews? It's inherently messy. Not resolvable imo.

Another odd angle is that 80 years ago the term "jew" in the eyes of many was "disempowered victim". Which aligns comfortably with certain political poses. But when it is "the jews" (or half of them anyway, ie the population of jews in israel) with a position of power, it flips the dynamics.

Plastic surgery is not as advanced as I thought, clearly. Keep in mind, this is the top of the top of the line. 100s of billions of dollars in this family so they can afford the best doctors on earth. But sometimes the best isn't good enough. Millions spent to look like a clown.

This is one of those conspiracy theories I have at least entertained. Not because I have seen hard evidence, but because of the result. The old "cuo buono" principle. In many ways the Putin invasion of Ukraine was also an attack on the U.S./Biden/Dems. International politics is a motherf**ker.

I think there are some folks in the New York money machine (a right wing coded activity) who are not obsessively right wing on social issues. This is a dynamic which has always been part of NY politics. And even more left wing pols don't want to poison the money machine which pays for everything.

Yeah, true. Tricky thing is that Adams and Cuomo kinda feel like republicans in some ways. So then the party designation itself becomes odd. Is Adams really "to the left" of....Bloomberg? What exactly does the D or R mean in NY (or has meant over the years)? slightly ambiguous.
