Finally finished with travel and other busy shit since my last piece, though lost my voice because of sick. Warming back up with a little doodle of @thegoatbrain.bsky.social 's character Eryn and her... touchy temper

Kaldorei Paladins! Wyntris has always supposed to be, to me, what a Paladin would look like that was deeply steeped in the cultural themes of the Kaldorei. Can't wait to finally get to do it in game. Hopefully they come to Forever too.

Didn't get a chance to play the WoW Forever beta today... But did finally finish my big 1-year capstone piece! Here's those same Wyntiddies, this time (barely) armoured. Full version(s) tomorrow!

WIP continues... I keep reading artists say that they stopped doing lineart but I can't stop myself. I really like those clean lines. Plus I'm garbage at painting. Glad I stopped myself at 2 versions

More WIP, lots still to do on this outfit, but I am pretty happy with myself for mostly winging it. I have so much lore about Kaldorei paladins swirling in my head, maybe I'll share it when this is done! Especially pertaining to Wyntris. Can you tell I love nelf paladins?

El @elidalalilja.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

WIP of my current piece I too will be jumping on the Night Elf Paladin exodus. Been playing Wyntris as a warrior for so long pretending to be one in all but name. I designed her from the get go to be a Nelf paladin that stuck to the Kaldorei cultural themes. Not just copy/paste human pally.

I think I'm going to do 1, maybe 2 more complete pieces this month to capstone off 1 year of drawing. After that though, the last week or so has revealed I really need to go back to basics and relearn a lot of things with art. So I'll probably do a month or two of form basics again.

Now that the bash is over I can post lewds again. Wyntris sketch. A little unhappy with it though. Thought I chose a ref that would let me realistically portray her tits but think I just sorta butchered them lol. Think you can see what I intended but it just didn't work out. Face looks good though.

New chibi/emoji. Wyntris is very proud of her new haircut. Didn't do any art over the weekend because of the base, so needed to get my pen working again!

Did a base that I can design stuff onto Wyntris (hair/clothes) and while there are things I don't love about it I did this one without a direct reference. Learned a LOT about anatomy! While I don't think it looks better than my recent art, it represents a big step in my skill. Pretty happy with it.

I mostly bring this up because I want to get more into soft shading but every tutorial that I've come across that aren't from extremely niche teenage russian teenage furry youtubers are all basically just "Draw your shadows in and then change the colour :)"

El @elidalalilja.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

As a self-taught artist I am very thankful for the huge amount of art tutorials out there. But so many of them, especially shading tutorials, are basically like "here I just use this very specific brush that I will not share to just do it in 2 seconds." It's very "draw the rest of the owl" energy
