What we are witnessing is the fallout from the destruction of a well funded, secular, public education system. Reagan destroyed public education and the middle-class. We in Canada need to take note. In BC, the destruction of public efucation began with the right wing but has not been reversed.

Canada is a secular nation yet instead of religious freedom we suffer under religious privilege. Religions have far too much economic and political power. Politicians need to stop legitimizing these misanthropic superstitions.

Years ago, under the incompetent leadership of Christy Clark and the BC Liebrals, we saw the dismantling of the BC public education system. Public education is a societal contract. It is the great equalizer as it can grow opportunities among the financially disadvantaged. Invest in our youth!
