TONIGHT! @raduconstantin.bsky.social and I will be streaming a couple of egg-themed games. When? Like 30-60 minutes after he wakes up, or when I finish the PNGtubers; whichever comes last. lulz should I have planned better? absolutely. will it be fun? super absolutely!

a simple, cartooned version of RaduConstantin (left) and ElfyBean (right), leaning over and touching their index fingers together in the Dragon Ball Z fusion stance, each with a ridiculous, excited expression on their faces. In true Dragon Ball fashion, all their lower molars are visible, as they scream (with enthusiasm!)

3 years ago I heard about the legend of the mermaid bone farm, in Dwarf Fortress, which inspired this piece. Today, @blindirl.bsky.social put out a video about that forum thread! heads-up: it's a pre-2010 forum thread, so click with care. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGQk...

a pixel art image of two mermaids and a puffin, sitting on some rocks with an ocean and cloudy sky in the background. Small silhouettes of birds are in the sky.

On the right hand side of the image is a green mermaid with mauve hair; her proportions are of an average-height human. Her friend, on the left, is gold and orange, with red-pink hair. She has a thicker trunk and shorter limbs and tail, resembling a human with dwarfism. A large purple starfish and a small orange starfish sit near her, and a thick patch of seaweed is draped across the rock beneath her, near the bottom of the image. The puffin sits at the top of the rock, between the mermaids. In the top left corner is a little watermark/signature reading EB '23, for ElfyBean 2023; the name of the image's creator, and the year it was made.

Marsh is finally happy. He's been trying to get me to take a real break for almost 2 weeks.

A photograph of a cat lying on its side, facing the right side of the image, on top of a blanket. A person's (i.e. the photographer's) legs are stretched out on either side of the cat, to accommodate said (large) cat. The cat is shorthaired with a tuxedo-pattern: mostly black with white paws and small patch of white belly fur is *just* visible. Its whiskers are white, its eyes are closed. The blanket is off-white with a pattern of owls and light green vines. The person's pants are a green-and-turquoise pineapple print on a navy blue background. A bit of the photographer's bright pink shirt is visible at the bottom of the image. Also in-frame, to the right, is a hard 3DS case. It is black with yellow trim. The cat's paws are touching a handmade handheld game pouch, which is made of black t-shirt fabric.

The cat's name is Marsh, and he is 5 years old. He loves cuddles and enforcing breaks.

The button that changes the LED light colors (strips & leftmost circle) is on top of this tower, and when the cats jump on or off said tower, they often hit the button. I like that I can tell how busy the cats have been, based on how far along the color wheel the lights have moved.

A photograph of a tower pc, sitting on a desk. Beside it as two small boxes and a glass aquarium which are inconsequential but will likely be noticed so I'm mentioning them here.

The pc tower is mostly black in appearance with a mesh front, with light strips on the two front vertical edges. There are also two circular lights that can be seen through the glass panel of the tower. One circle is has several colors (cyan, purple, red, and yellow), the other circle is a vibrant magenta-pink. The light strips on the front of the pc tower match the magenta-pink circle's hue.

Had the opportunity to play this with some cool peeps, last night, and the @seattleindies.bsky.social social night, and it was a delightful experience~ We ran a gaylien space bar, and here are a few doodles inspired by our bar.

A tall, lean human, Willow, perches on the edge of a circular bar. Another image of her, to the right, depicts it pouring soda into a drink glass from a nozzle (likely behind the bar). They are wearing a crop top, mid-to-low-rise jeans (modern low-rise; not quite late 90s low-rise), and a flannel over-shirt. His hair is in a bun, held with chopsticks.

To the left of the image is some text describing Willow:
"Demi-everything
Bartender
Can drink. Won't."

At the bottom of the image is text that reads:
"Not *quite* over her last breakup (they took the dog off-world!)"

Bonus lore: Willow uses all pronouns, but responds best to "excuse me, my good barkeep?" Mostly to see who will actually address them thusly, later in the night.

A unicorn smoking a cigarette and playing a theramin, using one of their (detachable, "like a glove") hooves as a makeshift ashtray.

The unicorn says, in word bubbles:
"Requests?
No."

A sentient jelly cube alien, named Slimbolo, receives a cowboy hat from the mysterious Janitor after an identity-formative pep talk.

The out-of-frame Janitor says,
"Here ya go, pardner"

Text at the bottom on the image says
"(Slimbolo's fondest formative memory)"

Slimbolo is making a bashful lil winky face.

The full staff, inspecting a strange item they found by the washrooms.

Most peculiar!

(It's a plumbing snake, but they'd never seen one before).
From left to right we have Slimbolo the jelly square, our part-time bipedal unicorn, 2 humans (choreographer and bartender), an octopus-guy, and our adorable server, in a black top with a heart-shaped boob window. They're also wearing a shark tooth necklace, and carrying a drinks tray.

Marshy-kitty has started his orientation for his new career as a plushie.

A mostly-black cat with a little star of white on his forehead, white whiskers, and a white bib, sits in a cardboard box filled with various stuffed animals of different shapes and sizes. The cat's eyes are closed in an expression of contentment.

So, I've had this ox tongue succulent for nearly 20 years, but it never bloomed for me. This year, I gave her the most intense drought she's ever had. She turned burgundy (stress/dormancy) and stopped growing for a few months. Then, in June, I gave her a monsoon. 1st pic June, 2nd pic today!

An ox tongue succulent, named because each thick, textured, lobed leaf looks like a cow tongue, but green.
You can see what looks like a tiny asparagus shoot at the top of the nest of green tongues (now that's a sentence!)

Several long flowers, growing on a stalk. They look a bit like fancy gourds; round and coral-orange at the attachment point (top of the flower shape, in the image), the bloom changes to vertical stripes of pale yellow and green halfway down the flower, slightly flaring at the opening where we can see little balls of pollen peeking out .

A'ight, Slime's work has wrung him out and crumpled his wrists. Mushroom Musume stream tomorrow night. Thursday, July 10, at 5:30pm PST These lil cuties were from this weekend's stream; who knows what we'll grow tomorrow night?

The character is outlined in dark green (almost black), and the shadows and face are orange. The image is framed in orange, its background is a light turquoise (blue-green tint) .

Checking out a neat game, on my own time... and debating whether to just stream this tomorrow? (Like, after I finish Botanicula, 'cause I think we're almost done??) splendidland.itch.io/formless-star

a screenshot from the game, Formless Star. The caption reads:
#51: TELEPHLORA

A creature that evolved the ability to communicate with flowers.

Its diet consists of flowers that it doesn't like.

Wanderstop playthrough update: my son may be stuck.

ElfyBean @elfybean.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

so, I don't re-play games often. If I do, it'd usually months or years after finishing a storyline (same with books and movies) I'm on my 2nd playthrough of Wanderstop, and loving it even more than the first time. The pluffins are stinkin' cute little tea thieves.

a screenshot from the game, Wanderstop. The protagonist, Alta, takes up about two thirds of the shot, on the right, while a little tie-dyed-lookin' penguin-esque bird stands to the left, looking a bit shifty. Alta is wearing a black shirt and pants with her sleeves tolled up, and a maroon apron over her clothes. Her hair is pale lavender, and she holds her hair back with an orange scarf, tied like a head band. Alta holds a brightly colored mug in her left hand (far right of the image). The mug is hot pink with yellow circles and curved lines, and some blue triangles. It has late 80s Barbie sticker vibes. 10/10 very good, very loud mug.

Vibri walked so Miku could run.

A vector line drawing of Vibri, a video game character from the game VibRibbon. Her arms and legs are lines and, her hands and feet are triangles. Her eyes are large circles with a crystalline, sun-like pattern in them to indicate the irises of her eyes. She has two rabbit-ear-like ponytails on top of her head (to clarify: pigtails are to the side; ponytails are on top or the back of the head. Fight me in the comments.)

An image of the anime-styled vocaloid character, Hatsune Miku. She's wearing thigh-high boots that have turquoise soles that match her long pigtails, neck tie, eyes, and the trim of her black pleated skirt. She has either robot "ears" or headphones, with red lights and little red hair clips where her pigtails meet her head.

We laughed too loudly while Bruce was trying to sleep.

The face and front paws of a light tan colored chihuahua are poking out over a rusty-orange fuzzy blanket. He has a mostly-black nose, black lips and toenails, and just the front edge of his tongue is visible. Neither eye is facing forward or in the same direction, which indicates he was likely sleeping moments before the picture was taken.

He looks very annoyed.

Fyre and I are playing Dragon Age: veilguard, and we keep seeing these delightful creatures, and I desperately want to know what they are called, and anything else that can be known about them! #DragonAge #Veilguard #FantasyCreature #IDPlease

a fantastic creature with the head of a rhino iguana, but without eyes, the body of a seal with the skin and forelimbs of a crocodile. It has a large throat pouch, and its mouth is open. The creature is standing in water, hiding most of its body and forelimbs. there are brightly-colored plants in the background.
