We went OUT today! First stop The Clink Museum which is on the site (ish) of the old Clink Prison. A good ratio of grim to history meant the other half was occupied whilst I was lifting all the replica (but bloody heavy) torture devices. Annoyingly the morningstar was bolted down. Spoilsports.

OK, maybe she's not scary but she is sassy! This is Elvenstar from the Bardic Beatdown made by @twingoddessminiatures . I'm really pleased with the worn plank floor - these boards have definitely been trodden a few times! #wargaming #miniaturepainting🖌️ #commission #wargames #3dprinting

Turns out even the commission work is getting in on the spooky action! These are Shadow Beasts, enemies which appear in the absence of light.Definitely the stuff of nightmares! More models from Clash for Eternia from @cmon #miniaturepainting #wargaming #wargamers #commissionwork #commission

Got over £800 of bills coming up this week. It's also my birthday on Tuesday, so the best present you could give me is to buy some of my stuff! Just added some more oldhammer to hopefully tempt some bites. Appreciate you all 💙

As we're starting to get closer to spooky season, I thought it'd be fun to start posting some....spooky adjacent projects. I just got this awesomeness finished this week - this is Clare, a survivor from @hasslefree.miniatures. Because in an apocalypse it is VERY important to be comfortable!

Without saying your age, what is your favourite movie that came out when you were 20? There was strong competition from X-Men, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon & Bring it On (guilty pleasure don't judge me.) But it's always this. It's one of my favourite movies period.

I see everyone sharing the love for Peter Cullen AKA the voice of Optimus Prime as we just learn about his passing. I didn't grow up with Transformers but he was the voice of my childhood in several other ways. Mostly it was this one.

Probably my favourite Tim Curry performance. The charisma and the sex appeal are SO plain even through the latex and those lenses.

OK folks I need some help. I'm trying to sort a wedding gift for partner's relative & would like it to be a painted miniature. I've been told she's a big fan of the anime featuring a transforming Luna Warrior & her Planetary Girls.

I'm SO pleased with how these bases turned out! Myself & the client decided that goblins & gitz probably don't like in nice, quiet pretty forests. So we went with fungi, gross slimy puddles & even the remains of some unfortunate visitors...... #wargamingcommunity #warhammer

Another personal project I have on the desk. I forget where she came from but I'm painting her up like a wood elf bard, so a very nature inspired colours palette. Not sure what I'll end up doing with her though! #wargaming #miniaturepainting

So apparently either we have annoyed some nature deity or myself or my partner are being secretly auditioned to be a Disney princess. Not content with sending a bat indoors we've just had a sparrow inside flying around. The cat was VERY excited. Luckily we got it out again no bother but aaaaaargh.

Oooh I forgot. In the excitement of The Bat, I forgot to say we went to see The Odyssey the other night. Super quick review, I liked it a lot. Had some nitpicks but it (mostly) looked stunning & the effects were overall brilliant. John Leguizamo was superb. And Pattinson - really sold being a creep.

Exciting (possibly not the right word!) times here last night. Summer started getting fixated on a spot under one of our chairs so we assumed it was a spider. Possibly even the one whose legs we found on the floor when we came home from seeing The Odyssey. So my partner investigates.

Film you've watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: No Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, Marvel, Disney or Ghibli. This was a family favourite. Saw it in the cinema when it first came out with Mum & Dad. Dad, being a big fan of Bond was really surprised to see Sean Connery cameo at the end.

Story time! Some of you might know I lost my Dad almost 2 years ago and today was a reminder that he's still making his presence known in my life every so often. We'll do the backstory first and then I'll explained what happened today.

Without saying your age, what's your favourite movie that came out when you were 18? <swoon> Was over in the US on holiday with my parents. It was hot, we wanted some A/C so we decided to see what was on at the cinema. "Oooh look Zorro, that'll have swordfighting and stuff in it."

We're close but we're just not good enough for a lot of these teams. I was surprised we got past Mexico as convincingly as we did but that was the best we were ever going to play & it just was not going to be enough against any of the remaining teams.

Pro tip if you're visiting London. Don't pay a fortune to go to the top of The Shard or on the London Eye. Go to Horizon 22. It's at 22 Bishopsgate, not far from Liverpool Street or Bank stations. It's free and you can book tickets on the day on the door as long as they have availability.

Ugh. Halford's have changed paint supplier & now their primers (which I have used for years) are different in both finish & colour. Plus they have a safety design (I get it, they need to be safe) which means anytime I want to take the lid off I need a flathead screwdriver. Oh & the nozzle fell off.
