At this point the RN ships radar operator would be calling out the NATO brevity code for an inbound anti-ship missile, namely 'Vampire, Vampire, Vampire!'. Interestingly enough, the only sub-surface contact I had detected in the area was a whale, leading me to the conclusion that the whale had just launched anti-ship missiles at me. I, for one, welcome our new armed cetaceans overlords.
