I've come to accept that the first round of any open league CM is the humiliation ritual before I actually get to play. Group B semi finals, away from the meta players, is where my team finally gets to shine. I even dug this Agnes Tachyon out of the trash that turned out to be pretty good.

I always check them out after a win. ( What few I get during the CM Group A humiliation ritual. )

Weird to see Panty and Stocking merch in a Walmart gacha machine kiosk. It’s a hit of a rip. The crane didn’t work well. Tried for one of the demon sisters. The wind up trains look good though.

Ahhh....so, using the ballroom national security excuse to build the militarized arch. This reads like the ramblings of an insane man. What significant military purpose is a sniper going to accomplish from a relatively tiny arch...like the movie poster of those snipers on the Statue of Liberty.

Looks like some of the BT comic pages I've been working on got shown in today's Tuesday News stream. A bit out of order, the middle one is the opening page. Yes, that's a reference to Crescent Hawks Inception. ( But, with clan stuff. ) bsky.app/profile/cata... #battletech

AND, I guess we WILL be forgetting about Aston Machan. Since Mejiro Bright decided to commandeer her banner in the limited amount of pulls I could spare from trying to get Halloween Doto. And, she's not even the fun Mejiro.....Not a fan of the rich girls.

Gold City cinches the Libra Cup victory! ( Group B...but I'll take it. ) Can't say I've ever cared much about Gold City. She's sat in the roster neglected for almost a year. I just speed ran her careers due to her track aptitude. Wasn't expecting much. I guess I owe her a story read now.

EldoniousRex @eldoniousrex.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Haven't posted much about Libra Cup. I missed out on group A. I couldn't grab that third win. But, in Group B semi-finals my team is crushing it. 1 loss out of 15 races. Gold City is pulling a lot of the weight, but there are no slouches on the team. Ok, Gold City, I'll finally read your story.

Was starting to think Halloween Doto would elude me. Got her in final desperate 10 pull. ( Not proud of spending money.) I'll have to miss out on alt-Digi...sigh. WHAT!? WINDY DOESN'T LIKE BITING YOU!!?? Get Windy over here right now to bite Doto! I don't care how much Doto cries! My girl's lonely!

Didn't eat total dirt in Group A today. Oguri and Inari still dragging the team along. Fine with my B group finals qualifier. The sad part is my team is fairly strong. Lots of 2nd place finishes. However, if a Christmas Oguri shows up I'm cooked; mostly. And, in A group it's Christmas every day.

EldoniousRex @eldoniousrex.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Getting stomped in Virgo cup. Somehow squeaked out an A group qualifier with Oguri and Inari at the last moment. But, I suspect Group A will wash me out. Might even be hard to get a B Group downgrade with how things have been going. I've been busy over the last several weeks. No prep time.

Well, Group A finals didn't go so bad. A 2nd place finish. Feels like an extra poke at my poor Nishino Flower to have just the top of her head and ears in that final victory image. Kick an uma while she's short why dontcha. Interesting that you still get the Leo Cup Gold tag for second place.

EldoniousRex @eldoniousrex.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

I made a horrible mistake. I've finally qualified for an A Group final on a CM. But, that probably means I'm gonna get destroyed. Doomed! DoooooooOOOoommmed! That Fuji never wins a race. But, she's been in all my qualifying runs. So, she's doing something to help the team. She's earned her spot.

It's a tribute to this piece of Uziel art. I even added in the falling shell casings. However, the version of the Uziel in the upcoming beginner boxed set uses a different energy based load-out. So, I had to remove them.

Leo Cup is underway. After my planned team flopped, Hishi Akebano, Taiki Shuttle, and Nishino Flower, I switched to the auto-select team. Can't complain, Sakura Bakusin O and King Halo won two a piece. Tried subbing out Fuji on the next run to lesser results. I guess she's the lucky charm.

Had to spend too much of my strategic free carat stockpile to make it happen. But, got my swimsuit Goldshi. Dang game gave me McQueen on the first pull of my free tickets. Then again on my second ten pull. I'm not a big McQueen fan. Plus side, got enough to max out Super Creek.

Well, that's a surprise. A 1st place in the B group finals. Seems I'm not as cooked competitively as thought. Any idea of ever winning anything in the A ranks is still crushed. However, I'll take the lowercase "w."

050

EldoniousRex @eldoniousrex.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

As predicted, Group A trials were a disaster. Only two wins out of 35 total races in the group. Just enough to roll into B group finals grave. I have one more ticket attempt to get into Group A finals; which is impossible given my record. Rather keep the carrots. Best to resign myself to Group B.

Lucky pulls from the last two days Finally, got that annoying fisher Uma that is my CM cup nightmare. Air Shakur, cause I sooooo definitely need another End Closer. And, another T.M. Opera O; not the version I really want. Base Opey is already maxed out. The latter are from single pulls. Neat!

EldoniousRex @eldoniousrex.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

I've finally made a themed Champions meeting team. The tiny terrors! The End Closing ankle biters! They got me through the first round. Inari one coming through as the MVP. Tamamo Cross picking up on her off days. Very situational. They die the moment a strong front runner or Xmas Oguri show up.

It's also a somber reflection on how something so popular and ubiquitous can just fall out of public consciousness. Rose O'neill herself would gain and lose a fortune to die in poverty at the age of 70. She's buried in a small family plot a short walk from her home. Often the fate of artists.

When the Taiki Shuttle Japanese voice actress switches to English to say "Poppa...momma...miss you." It cracks me up. ( It IS sad to hear. The most outgoing character is also the loneliest. Her good ending kills me when she runs off to cry when she thinks you're splitting up. )

My pulling streak from earlier this year pretty much dried up. But, it looks like there is a bit more gas in the tank. Got Inari One on my second 10 pull. I've now got the entire Heisei Big Three; or the complete Cinderella Gray collection if you prefer. Now, I gotta start saving for cards.

I thought I was cooked after Aries Cup. Was thinking about not even trying for Taurus Cups cause I've had a bad run of careers lately. But, Cheerleader Nice Nature came to the rescue. Qualified for A group in my first bracket. I did some testing for tomorrow's run. The next team looks promising.

First 10 pull luck continues with a Cheerleader Nice Nature. This is the fourth time in a row that a rainbow(s) appeared during the first pull on a new banner. Some more beautiful Meisho Doto wins. And, much needed winning runs. Along with a miraculous 5-streak. Summer Maruzensky carried the team.

Aries Cup was such a nightmare. I thought I could make a decent PVP Uma. Damn was I wrong. Completely washed out of the graded races with only 2 wins out of 40 races. Things got better in the B group. But, still couldn't cinch a 3 win run. My girl Doto got two wins, though. Not a complete waste.

070

EldoniousRex @eldoniousrex.bsky.social · 21/04/2026

Weird first pull on a new banner luck streak continues. Not the featured trainee, but unequivocally a better pull. And, I got another Gold City to push across the 4 star line. I'm not sure if I'll throw anymore resources at Yaeno Muteki's banner. She seems pretty cool. I'm just saving for cards.
