Ah! My new book will be pubbed Sept. 8-10ish (however long Amazon takes to approve), and then wanna throw it in the sale 😅

Hear hear 🍻 Yeah I hesitate to call hobbit or HP “cozy” since they were written without the current form of cozy in mind. I call them nostalgic-cozy, or just regular ol’ fantasy with cozy elements.

For my fellow #adhd #neurodivergent creatives out there, don’t be so hard on yourself 🥴 It really helps to track hrs. My brain: WE’RE FAILING! Reality: In 2.5 weeks + travel, events, & PMS, I spent 30 hrs writing 26k words on my first draft…breathe & listen to this song again 😮‍💨 #cozyfantasy #calm

Halfway through 1st draft! Here’s a teaser of the cover I’ve been working on for book 5, The Secret of the Swirlalu 😉 Though I might make the serpent look less angry 🤔 “Following the spiral of magic & mystery might just bring you home.” #cozyfantasy #procreate #cozytalesoflarune

Sounds fun, but doesn’t sound like cozy fantasy. Just sounds like epic portal fantasy 🤔 On the brink of war, divided by hatred and fear, and ancient menace are high stakes & not very cozy.

💙📚🌈📚🪐📚♿📚❤️🫖 I think I've gotten to the last 5% of editing on Chai and Charmcraft. The good part of editing is it makes it shine; the bad part is I'm staring at the hard parts! But this #cozyfantasy meets #romancelandia should be out in May. Now for format & blurb! lynnstrong.com/books/charmc...

Chai and Charmcraft: A Magical Middle Eastern Cozy Fantasy by Lynn Strong. A smiling round middle-aged man with curling silver-stroked hair in golden silk robes holds a glass of chai and a saucer, with a golden-eyed gray cat looking at him from the window through which we see a cityscape at the edge of sunrise.

Yay! First 5 stars! Thank you, person, whoever you are 😄🙏🩵 Hope the 1st written review is a happy reader too. I really want to get all the tales on audiobook this year (soon as it’s financially viable). #cozyfantasy #heartwarming #inclusion #blindcharacters #booksky #fantasybooks

LILY IN THE MIST is on Amazon! 🎉🎉 Paperback is still in review, but digital is live 🤗 For being my most peaceful story it was ironically stressful to write 😂 I wanted to represent #lowvision with as much accuracy & kindness as I could, & keep the chill plot (hopefully) interesting 🤞 #cozyfantasy

Got inspired to start drawing the cover for book 5, Secret of the Swirlalu! A more adventurous tale about two brothers & the mysterious source of Larune’s magic. If Indiana Jones was an elf and Uncharted was #cozyfantasy, lol 😜 Excited for this one!

It was a month ago that I posted?! Time moves too fast 😵‍💫 But had a great time at #Hearthcon! 🤗 Now I’m about to hibernate in the mountains & buckle down to pub Lily by end of Nov, start & pub book 5 by end of Feb, then pivot to #litRPG! 😱 Don’t worry, I’ll keep up Tales of Larune too. #cozyfantasy

Nice! I’m a hiker, that helps my mood. But no good hiking where I’m at right now ☹️ Probably partly why I’m cranky, lol. And one can only play video games for so long. I know my spark will return at some point. I’m a tidal creature 🦀 Cheers!

Oof. I needed to read that today. Been feeling on the uninspired/burned out boat for a little while right now. Of course, losing 6 pages of your book to your traitorous computer never helps 🙄 Hopefully Hearthcon this weekend will ignite my spark again. You going to attend? Speaking of cozy 🤗

Low vision, tunneled, some light/dark perception, blur, somewhat like retinitis pigmentosa. But I don’t use such medical/technical terms in my fantasy world, of course.

Elayne Griffith @elaynegriffith.bsky.social · 09/09/2025

On this one it’s both trying to strike the balance with the monk/peace vibe but not be too boring, and hoping I’m representing my character’s blindness well 😅
