Really tired and not feeling great today but just wanted to say I was able to pay my electric bill and avoid disconnect. Thanks everyone that helped out! Really appreciate it even if words escape me right now.

More pumpkin practice! I wish I could find a way to make these GIFs not so compressed, but I don't think photoshop does that >:T

Another practice with different pumpkin/light combos, this time using @vore.wine (account nsfw-ish) as a volunteer :>

More practice with this idea. I think the trickiest part is balancing the line weight/thickness to allow enough detail while still giving the carving some depth.

I thought I'd have a job opportunity today but it turned out to be a painting on a cliff *CLONK*

late night rant but I got "a job is a job'd" today and it's so frustrating that my mom does this to me, my therapist, my rude-ass 9yo niece (fucking seriously, child?) and now people online. I don't get what's so bad about going "I don't want this job but I would do it" EMPHASIS- I WOULD DO IT

The irony of getting a job rejection on Labor Day isn't lost on me, but considering the interviewer made a point that they play showtunes in the office to signify how "non-toxic" they are, I dodged a bullet (my hatred of showtunes and musicals in general should be well established by now :T )

Guys its like right the fuck there you sound weird when you say "search action" like it doesn't even sound nice to say. Just tweak the wording ever-so-slightly

Oh hi this is doing number, thanks! I guess I should re-introduce her since I've barely drawn her. This is Kione, or Kiki usually. She's a gazelle and is an energetic robots nerd. In the "bigger lore" she also works as Lorin's logistics and comms operator and has hints of hero worship

Appreciate everyone that's helping out with my situation btw. I've been a tad slow with correspondence but should catch up this weekend. I spend most of my weeks applying for jobs, talking with career coach, therapist, and an advocacy group, and working on my job-related skills via workshops.

Grumpo @el-grumpo.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

This recently came up so figured I'd adress it: If you want to help keep my lights on but don't want/can't afford a commission, that's also fine! You can drop me a line and I'll give you the pay info- any bit helps and is appreciated all the same ♥️

Did you know that big studios monitor piracy? Don't you fucking dare pirate this shit. Do not hate watch through piracy. JK Rowling is a disgusting human being that funds and encourages the hurt, pain and death of my fellow trans peers. Support media that actually deserves our time and money.

Thinking about Cullen's passing. It makes me want to do more with my Banchogun-related ideas. A theme of Lorin's character is that "strong enough to be gentle" mentality, but not a paternal way that Prime often encapsulates. I was thinking more of Vash the Stampede, or Guy Shishioh or Yutaro Katori

Sneaky peak also ye gods it's been too long since I've drawn Kiki it feels weird now Can I interest you in some Brave Knight Liocalibur? What about Love! Steel Aces, or maybe LawLabor: the Mobile Rangers? (there's a part two it'll make sense in context I promise :V )

This is where I feel like my career as a designer/photographer comes in handy because, having worked for big companies, I approach my comms with "if I worked like this in the office, would it get me in trouble?" You can count on me for good communication and (usually!) predictable turn-arounds!

Today's interview went really well I think, they said they'd be in touch. BUT they said they won't know if they're hiring for sure for at least another month minimum, so now I have to decide if I can wait that out and/or find something less meaningful in the interim

I am once again dealing with the frustration of having people not acknowledging Cooke as a mom because the internet has horny-brained everyone into going "BIG LADY IS MOMMY" and referring to another character of mine instead (who is hardly 'mommy' and more 'wierd failgirl aunt' at BEST)
